Rogan reacts live to Elon's 'crazy' Epstein accusation against Trump while interviewing FBI director
Podcaster Joe Rogan was shocked as he read billionaire Elon Musk's wild allegations against President Donald Trump on Thursday. Musk dropped a bomb on social media when he alleged Trump was in the Jeffrey Epstein files after a series of escalating back-and-forth social media messages between him and the president. This accusation occurred as part of a larger tirade against Trump and Republican leaders over the "Big Beautiful Bill." In the episode, which was recorded Thursday but released Friday, a "Joe Rogan Experience" producer interrupted the host's live interview with FBI director Kash Patel to inform him of Musk's Epstein tweet. Watch: Republicans Rally Behind Trump, Continue To Support Musk Amid 'Big, Beautiful' Brawl Rogan read the tweet out loud, "'Time to drop the really big bomb Donald Trump is in the Epstein files, that's the real reason they have not been made public, have a nice day.' "Jesus Christ," he said in shock. Read On The Fox News App "I'm not participating in any of that conversation," Patel said. "Someone should take his phone away," Rogan said as he marveled at Musk's tweet. "Jesus Christ, that's a crazy thing to say. How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files? Does he have access to the Epstein files?" "I don't know how he would," the FBI director said, again insisting he would stay out of the feud. "What the f--- are they doing?" Rogan asked. "I understand he owns Twitter, I think it's bad for your mental health," Rogan said. "I think posting things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you." Click Here For More Coverage Of Media And Culture "This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful BIll because it does not include the policies he wanted," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. "The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again." The White House said a source familiar with the Epstein matter said it is widely known that Trump kicked Epstein out of his Palm Beach Golf Club. The source also pointed out that the administration released the Epstein files, which included Trump's name, and nothing was new about Musk's revelation. "If Elon truly thought the President was more deeply involved with Epstein, why did he hang out with him for 6 months and say he 'loves him as much as a straight man can love a straight man?'" the source said. Shortly after Musk posted about Trump being in the Epstein file, Trump posted his response to Truth Social. "I don't mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress," Trump said, turning his attention to the "big, beautiful bill" that is before the Senate. "It's a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given. If this Bill doesn't pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that." "I didn't create this mess, I'm just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" the president article source: Rogan reacts live to Elon's 'crazy' Epstein accusation against Trump while interviewing FBI director

Elon Musk may speak to Trump aides in push to calm feud
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk may speak to White House aides Friday in an effort to calm his ongoing feud with President Donald Trump, Fox News has learned. Musk and Trump have been arguing over social media in recent days. The blowup came after Musk started "wearing thin" on Trump for about a month, Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy reported Friday. A senior White House official told Fox News that Trump does not expect to speak to Musk today. However, White House aides told Doocy that Trump administration staffers might try to talk to Musk. "No call scheduled or had. Musk wants a call. POTUS hasn't made a decision," a source familiar with the matter also told Fox News regarding a possible conversation between Trump and Musk. Republican Lawmakers Stand Firm Against Musk's 'Kill The Bill' Assault On Trump's Agenda Doocy also reported that a red Tesla vehicle that Trump bought during a Tesla demonstration on the South Lawn of the White House grounds earlier this year is now expected to be given away or sold off. Read On The Fox News App The vehicle with Florida tags, as of Friday, remains parked near the White House on West Executive Drive. Musk made allegations Thursday that Trump was in the Jeffrey Epstein file. "@RealDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files," Musk wrote on X. "That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" Musk followed the post with another, saying, "Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out." "This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful BIll because it does not include the policies he wanted," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said. "The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again." Fetterman Disses Democrats For Suddenly Embracing Musk Amid Trump Fallout On Truth Social, Trump wrote Thursday that "Elon was 'wearing thin,' I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!" "The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon's Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn't do it!" Trump also said. The feud between Musk and Trump rapidly escalated this week when Musk called the Trump-endorsed "big, beautiful bill" a "disgusting abomination." Musk, who has been openly critical of the proposed reconciliation bill, said Tuesday afternoon that he "just can't stand it anymore." "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination," Musk added in a Tuesday afternoon post on X. "Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it." Fox News' Patrick Ward, Lucas Tomlinson, Greg Wehner and Alec Schemmel contributed to this article source: Elon Musk may speak to Trump aides in push to calm feud

Afternoon Briefing: New casino set to open earlier than expected
Good afternoon, Chicago. For nearly five years, the Chicago Transit Authority paid a small group of employees to stay home and not work at least two days a week, a state watchdog found. The employees in question worked in the agency's 'vault operations' unit, which is responsible for processing money taken from CTA fareboxes. Those workers could not actually perform any of their assigned duties from home, but were nevertheless assigned to work remotely at least two days a week since the beginning of the pandemic, continuing to do so even after the agency-wide return to office date in May 2022, according to a report from the Office of Executive Inspector General. A total of 10 employees were paid just under $1.13 million for days they spent not working since the start of the pandemic, the OEIG found. Here's what else is happening today. Bromance over? Elon Musk calls Trump's ‘Big Beautiful Bill' wasteful
Elon Musk criticized President Trump's sprawling One Big Beautiful BIll as wasteful in a new interview on Wednesday amid signs the epic bromance between the man in the White House and the world's richest man is fading. The Tesla and SpaceX mogul derided Trump's signature budget package of tax and spending cuts, which narrowly passed in the House of Representatives, for undermining the cost-cutting effort of his Department of Government Efficiency. 'I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit… and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing,' Musk said in the sit down with CBS News. 'I think a bill can be big or it can be beautiful, but I don't know if it can be both,' he added. 'My personal opinion.' Trump did not immediately respond to the remarks from the billionaire first buddy. The interview will air in full on the CBS Sunday Morning show. Musk said the bill includes far too much spending and too few cuts. It slashes Medicaid but also includes new outlays for border security and Trump's Golden Dome missile shield, among other political sweeteners. The controversial measure, which Republicans still need to ram through the Senate on a party-line vote, extends and expands Trump's 2017 tax cuts, increasing the deficit by $3.8 trillion by 2034, according to the Congressional Budget Office. The bill is taking heat from warring GOP factions. Fiscal hawks have slammed it for failing to rein in federal spending, while populists like onetime Trump whisperer Steve Bannon have suggested the cuts could prove damaging with working-class voters. Musk also complained that his budget-slashing crusade has made him a lightning rod for public criticism, he told the Washington Post in a separate interview published Wednesday. 'DOGE is just becoming the whipping boy for everything,' he said. 'So, like, something bad would happen anywhere, and we would get blamed for it even if we had nothing to do with it.' He lashed out at critics for taking their political opposition out on his companies. 'People were burning Teslas,' Musk said. 'Why would you do that? That's really uncool.' Musk's criticism comes as his relationship with Trump appears to be dramatically cooling. He was a ubiquitous figure by Trump's side during the transition period and Trump's first weeks back in the White House. In recent weeks, Musk has mostly returned to his day job running his companies, which have been battered as consumers recoil from his highly public right-wing political stands. Trump has barely mentioned him on social media after previously name-checking him on a daily basis. Musk recently said he plans to pull back on his political spending, which helped catapult Trump back to the White House. 'I think I've done enough,' the billionaire said in a frank interview. It's unclear if Trump has decided to put some distance between himself and Musk. Polls say the world's richest man is widely unpopular with American voters, who disapprove of his harsh budget cuts, including dismantling entire federal agencies that were funded by Congress.
