Ryan Phillippe Isn't In I Know What You Did Last Summer
This post contains spoilers for I Know What You Did Last Summer. If you've seen the new I Know What You Did Last Summer, you were probably thrilled by all of the OG characters in it. But you also probably wondered — where is Ryan Phillippe? Jennifer Love Hewitt (Julie James) and Freddie Prinze Jr. (Ray Bronson) both reprised their roles in the sequel to the 1997 film — which initially centered on four teenage friends on the run from a serial killer. Even Sarah Michelle Gellar returned to play late beauty queen Helen Shivers in the form of a dream. However, Ryan's character, Barry Cox, who died in the original film, remained on ice. Well, according to producer Neal H. Moritz, Ryan's return almost happened, but with so many easter eggs in the film already, that "would've been pushing it." Neal told People, "It just got to be too much. We have a Barry Cox mention. He gets a shout-out. But, yeah, it started to feel like too many ideas." "But it is not for a lack of love of Ryan," he quickly added. "He is amazing. And I do think there is a very fun way to integrate Ryan into a sequel that I hope happens." For now, fans can catch Ryan on Motorheads, an Amazon Prime series about an unlikely group that bonds over their shared love of street racing. He's also set to appear in an upcoming drama, One Mile, its sequel, One More Mile, and the thriller The Patient. I Know What You Did Last Summer is out now in theaters.

Aussie influencer debuts romance with rugby star boyfriend
Sammy Robinson has officially confirmed her relationship with New Zealand rugby star Shaun Stevenson. The Australian influencer and fashion designer, 29, shared a sweet Instagram photo with her rugby boyfriend, 28, who plays for North Harbour in the domestic Mitre 10 Cup and the Chiefs in the international Super Rugby competition. The couple were seen smiling amid Stevenson's match against the British Lions on Saturday, with Robinson revealing she was gifted new shoes from her man – yellow and green Adidas sneakers that match his rugby kit. 'He got me new shoes,' she captioned the post. Robinson, known for founding the fashion label One Mile, posted the affectionate photo just two months after she said she was going to keep her relationship private. 'Never say never. I may post him or I may not,' she told The Daily Telegraph's Sydney Confidential at the time. 'I've recently said until I know for a fact you're going to be the one, I don't think I'll post them again. You don't just post whoever anymore, and I'm careful now because there is just too much scrutiny.' So it seems that Stevenson might be 'the one,' as the influencer decided to hard launch their relationship after a few subtle hints on her account in recent weeks. It is unknown how long the two have been together, however, it seems things are getting serious as the pair celebrated her birthday together earlier in the month. On June 26, she teased the relationship with a photo from behind of her and a man ordering a drink at a bar. Robinson initially rose to fame on YouTube as one of Australia's original beauty content creators, before moving over to TikTok with lifestyle and beauty videos. She later launched her own fashion brand, One Mile, in 2020, which has seen significant success in a short amount of time. The brand's debut at Australian Fashion Week in 2022 marked its transition into a respected industry player. It now has two brick-and-mortar stores, one in Bondi Beach and one in Paddington. In an interview with Vogue Australia, she mentioned that there's no secret behind her success, she simply tries to stay true to herself. 'Just do you. Everyone else is already taken,' she said. 'There is no point being someone that you're not, it sounds cliche, but truly people will be able to tell if you're in it for the wrong reasons or if you're being fake for the fame.' 'Find your passion and just do whatever makes you happy … not just what is trending.'

Passenger's lost phone forces plane to return to airport mid-flight
It was a tough call. An Air France flight from Paris, France to Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe, was forced to make a U-turn after a passenger lost their phone, sparking safety concerns. Flight AF750 had departed the City of Light at around 11:52 a.m. Friday, and had flown out of France and over the English Channel en route to the French-owned Caribbean Isle, One Mile At A Time reported. Just one hour into the nine-hour journey, a passenger reported losing their phone in the seat, the Independent reported. Despite extensive search efforts, the crew could not locate the device, whereupon they decided to return home as a 'precautionary measure.' As a result, the Boeing 777-300 ferried 375 passengers and 12 cabin crew back to Paris, landing at 3:25 p.m. — just two hours and 16 minutes after takeoff. NYP may earn revenue on click/purchase SHOP ON AMAZON NOW Upon arrival, maintenance teams were dispatched to find the missing smartphone, eventually recovering it. The flight then departed for Guadeloupe 20 minutes later. A missing phone might sound innocuous, but phones contain lithium-ion batteries, which can pose a fire hazard if overheated or confined. One Mile At A Time's Ben Shlappig observed that 'if a phone gets lost somewhere (whether it's a seat or some other contraption), and then becomes damaged' it could potentially cause a fire. This could be doubly dangerous given that the smoking phone would be hidden from view. There have been myriad instances of these inadvertent explosives bursting into flame in-flight — including a recent incident where a power bank started smoking in the overhead aboard a Batik Airlines flight from Malaysia to Thailand. Meanwhile, multiple airlines across Asia have started banning people from using power banks or storing them in luggage on board for this reason. Losing one's device aboard is more common than one might think, with One Mile At A Time commenters sharing their own tales of misplaced devices. 'I lost my phone in business class on an Emirates 777 BKK-SYD and the crew had my seat ripped apart in about 5 seconds with a jug of water on hand in case it caught fire,' recounted one flyer. 'I think they just dump them in the jug if necessary. That AF diversion would have easily been [$]100-200K. Wild.' Meanwhile, one flight attendant recounted, 'Just to underscore how frequent this is, I recently had a passenger lose her phone in the seat 3 times in 1 hour. Needless to say, she was told to put her phone inside her suitcase until landing.' Shlappig said that the state of travel and tech today is, unfortunately, a perfect storm for an inflight blaze. 'You have people traveling with a lot more electronics, and at the same time, you have (premium) seats that are becoming increasingly complex, with more motorized functions,' he wrote. 'This increases the risk of passengers losing electronics, and even more, it increases the risk of a fire.'
