If you're planning to buy a new smartphone right now, it may be prudent to wait a while, with June shaping up to be a month of power-packed launches, from the OnePlus 13s to the Infinix GT 30 Pro and even the Vivo T4 Ultra. Here's a look at all the phones expected to debut in India next month. The Infinix GT 30 Pro is set to debut in India on 3 June. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor — the same chipset that powers Motorola's Edge 60 Pro, which launched in India last month. The phone features what Infinix calls a 'Cyber Mecha Design', with white lighting on the Blade White variant and RGB lighting on the Dark Flare version. It also comes with shoulder triggers to offer users more control while gaming. While more details about the GT 30 Pro remain under wraps for now, its global debut has already given us a fair idea of what to expect from this new gaming-focused device. You can head over to our previous article to check out everything we know so far. The era of compact phones in India is about to begin with the OnePlus 13s, launching on 5 June. The phone will feature a 6.32-inch form factor and will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor found in the OnePlus 13 (Review). Apart from its compact size, the 13s is also notable for introducing the Plus key, OnePlus' take on the iPhone's Action Button, replacing the iconic alert slider. This new key will also support calling up AI Plus Mind, which OnePlus says will help users save, catalogue, and recall key information shown on-screen. Vivo has confirmed that the T4 Ultra will launch in India soon, featuring a periscope telephoto camera with up to 100x zoom. While an exact launch date isn't confirmed yet, the phone is expected to arrive in the first half of June. Leaks suggest the T4 Ultra could feature a 6.67-inch pOLED 120Hz display and be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor. It may also come equipped with a 50MP IMX921 primary sensor and a 50MP periscope lens, along with support for 90W charging. Initially rumoured to launch in May, the Poco F7 is now expected to debut in India in June 2025. According to leaks, it could be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, the same SoC used in the recently launched iQOO Neo 10 (Review). The phone may come with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and a massive 7,550mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging. On the camera front, the Poco F7 is expected to offer a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 20MP selfie shooter. The OnePlus Nord CE 5 has already received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification in India and is expected to launch in June. According to leaks, the device could sport a 6.78-inch flat Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor and pack a 7,100mAh battery. In terms of optics, the Nord CE 5 could feature a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens.

OnePlus AI revealed alongside Plus Key ahead of OnePlus 13s launch in India
OnePlus today, on May 27, finally unveiled its own AI brand for its smartphones. Following in line with other manufacturers and giving its AI features a brand, OnePlus is calling its AI suite: OnePlus AI. Alongside the OnePlus AI features, the brand has also unveiled a new hardware edition that facilitates these AI features; it is called the Plus Key and it is going to be available on OnePlus' upcoming compact flagship, the OnePlus 13S, in India. OnePlus says that it is going to be launching a host of new features under the OnePlus AI brand. Some of these include OnePlus AI Voice Scribe, which lets you record, summarise, and even translate calls and meetings within messaging and online meeting apps. India is also getting a OnePlus AI Call Assistant. On the OnePlus 13, the OnePlus dialer will now feature support for automatic call summaries and real-time call translation during calls, which could be handy to get rid of language misunderstandings. And then there is going to be a translation feature, which essentially brings all translation capabilities, including text, live voice, camera-based, and screen translation, into a single app. And then there is also AI Search, AI Reframe, and AI Best Face 2.0. At the same time, OnePlus has also partnered with Google and now says that OnePlus is going to have better synergy with Gemini, with Google Gemini working across OnePlus' own apps, including the OnePlus Notes app, OnePlus Clock app, as well as other Google apps. Also, Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing will also let users see what is being captured by the camera and what is on the screen. We have seen new hardware buttons debuting on various smartphones. Apple debuted the Action Button with the iPhone 15 Pro last year, and now all iPhone 16 series models feature the Action Button. Other manufacturers also followed suit. And now OnePlus has also jumped on the bandwagon and introduced its new button, which it is calling the Plus Key. OnePlus says that this is a customisable hardware button that is first going to debut on the OnePlus 13S, which launches in just a few weeks. After the OnePlus 13S, the brand says it is going to be present on all OnePlus smartphones launching this year. The company calls it an "evolution of the OnePlus Alert Slider," which has been present on OnePlus devices for years now. It facilitates functions like switching sound profiles, launching the camera, starting translation, or starting recordings. In addition, the key also brings features like AI Plus Mind, which lets you quickly save and recall details on your screen. This, in a way, is similar to an essential key feature that Nothing debuted with its earphones. Regarding this functionality, OnePlus says that when users come across information that they would like to access later, this could be a schedule, event details, reservations, or listings, they can simply store or capture it by pressing the Plus Key. Or, they can swipe up with three fingers to do this as well. After this, the OnePlus AI Plus Mind will save this on-screen content to a dedicated Mind Space, so that they can come back to and access it. The feature will also be able to contextually analyse content, including being able to extract schedule details from an image and then add them to your calendar, and more. OnePlus says that AI Plus Mind will be present on the OnePlus 13S, and it will be available for the in rest of the OnePlus 13 series as well, after a future software OTA update. OnePlus 13s to launch with second-generation AI features alongside Plus Key
OnePlus 13s will debut the Plus Key, a new customisable button replacing the brand's iconic Alert Slider. This feature will play a central role in enabling advanced AI interaction on the smartphone New Delhi China-based smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has announced that its upcoming compact flagship device, the OnePlus 13s, will introduce a suite of second-generation artificial intelligence features, collectively branded as OnePlus AI. A notable inclusion is the Plus Key – a new customisable button replacing the company's traditional Alert Slider. This key will serve as the primary gateway for accessing AI-based functionalities, including a tool named AI Plus Mind. In addition, OnePlus has confirmed that deeper integration of its native apps with Google's Gemini AI assistant is forthcoming. OnePlus 13s: Plus Key will be central to AI integration Initially revealed as the successor to OnePlus' Alert Slider, the Plus Key has now been confirmed to facilitate access to AI features. A key highlight is AI Plus Mind, which will allow users to capture, organise, and retrieve on-screen content. With AI Plus Mind, OnePlus said, users will be able to save items such as event schedules, tickets, and reservations either by pressing the Plus Key or performing a three-finger swipe gesture. The saved content will be stored in a dedicated space called Mind Space, where AI will automatically categorise, analyse, and extract useful information – for example, identifying a date in an image and adding it to the calendar. Users will also be able to search stored data using natural language prompts. AI Plus Mind will debut exclusively on the OnePlus 13s and will subsequently be rolled out to other devices in the OnePlus 13 series via a software update. Since other devices lack the Plus Key, the functionality will work with three-finger gesture. OnePlus AI In addition to AI Plus Mind, the OnePlus 13s will introduce several AI-driven tools aimed at improving productivity, creativity, and user convenience. These include; AI VoiceScribe: Enables recording, summarisation, and translation of voice calls and meetings within messaging, video, or conferencing applications. AI Call Assistant: Offers automatic call summaries and real-time translation through the OnePlus Dialer during voice calls. AI Translation: A unified platform supporting text, voice, camera, and screen-based translation. AI Search: Supports natural language queries for locating files, system settings, notes, and calendar entries. AI Reframe: Automatically detects subjects in photos and adjusts composition to enhance framing. AI Best Face 2.0: Improves group photos by correcting issues such as closed eyes; now supports up to 20 individuals in a single image. Google Gemini AI integration Beyond proprietary features, OnePlus has confirmed a partnership with Google to bring Gemini AI integration to native apps. Gemini will soon function across various OxygenOS applications – including Notes, Clock, and others – providing assistant-like capabilities throughout the system. Additionally, the Gemini Live feature, which allows the AI assistant to process content from the device's camera and screen in real-time, is expected to become available on OnePlus smartphones. Privacy and on-device processing OnePlus said it has adopted a hybrid model for AI deployment on the 13s, balancing performance with privacy. For features involving sensitive user information, on-device processing will be prioritised. In instances requiring higher computational power, data will be processed through the company's 'Private Computing Cloud'. The Private Computing Cloud is described by OnePlus as an encrypted, secure environment intended to safeguard user data and prevent unauthorised access.

OnePlus 13s brings big features in a small body – and locks them to one market only
OnePlus is getting ready to launch its new compact phone, the OnePlus 13s, and we already know pretty much everything about it – from specs to features. And yeah, it is kind of a small powerhouse, at least on paper. But if you were hoping to get one, you are probably going to be disappointed because, once again, availability isn't OnePlus' strong suit. Yep, the OnePlus 13s is not coming to the US or Europe. It is staying exclusive to India. And that's not all – a couple of new AI features, which will eventually roll out to the flagship OnePlus 13, also won't be available in the US or Europe. A bummer, I why is that? Well, there could be plenty of reasons, but I have a few ideas. Sure, OnePlus risks losing market share and alienating loyal customers in major Western markets, which could definitely hurt its global brand image. But at the same time, this could actually be a smart move on its part. By keeping the launch India-only, OnePlus can focus on a massive and rapidly growing market, test new features in a less regulated environment and avoid the crazy number of patent disputes and complex legal hurdles that are super common in the US and Europe. Plus, let's not forget how strict these markets are when it comes to data privacy – think GDPR in Europe – and how often tech companies end up stuck in legal messes over algorithms or features that process personal data. Skipping these regions could save OnePlus a ton of time, money and headaches. Still, the phone itself is very tempting. And if you are seriously considering getting your hands on it, importing might be your only option. But even then, you'll need to be careful. The biggest issue? Network incompatibility. Phones are made with specific cellular bands and frequencies for their target markets. So if you grab the Indian variant and try to use it on AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon in the US, there is a chance you'll run into problems – like poor or no signal, slower speeds or missing 5G support altogether. And that's definitely not ideal, right? The OnePlus 13s in Black Velvet. | Image credit – OnePlus That said, let's dive into what makes the OnePlus 13s interesting. It has a 6.3-inch display, which definitely counts as small by today's standards – especially when you think about how most phones from China now push beyond 6.5 inches. The panel supports up to 1600 nits of peak brightness and an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate. One feature I really like is Aqua Touch Glove Mode. It's pretty self-explanatory: you can use the phone even when it is wet or while wearing gloves. The design? Also worth talking about. The 13s is basically the same device as the OnePlus 13T that launched earlier this year in China, but with a few small differences. It weighs 185 grams, is 8.1mm thick and has a 50/50 weight distribution. That means the heavier components are placed on the bottom half to balance out the camera-heavy top, which should result in a better, more comfortable in-hand feel. Black Velvet Pink Satin Green Silk The phone will be available in three colors. | Image credit – OnePlus On the back, you'll find two cameras – a 50 MP main and a 50 MP telephoto. Up front, there is a 32 MP selfie camera with autofocus. Under the hood, the phone uses the same chipset found in the bigger OnePlus 13 and in some of the best Android flagship phones out there, like Samsung's Galaxy S25 series. Yep, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The battery is surprisingly big for a phone this size – 5,850 mAh – and it supports 80W SuperVOOC charging. OnePlus is promising impressive battery life and with that size, I totally believe it. There is also a new hardware feature worth noting: the Plus Key. This is OnePlus' first step toward building a personalized AI experience. With it, you can activate something called Plus Mind – basically a space to store stuff that's important to you. I imagine it is similar to Nothing's Essential Space that launched with the Phone (3a) Pro. For context, Nothing's version is an AI 'memory' system that saves your screenshots, voice notes and more – all in one place. So, Plus Mind is launching first with the OnePlus 13s and is coming to the OnePlus 13 sometime later. However, no timeline has been shared just yet. But one thing is clear – it is not coming to devices in the US and Europe. The OnePlus 13s officially launches on June 5 in India. If you are interested, keep an eye out for pricing and availability updates.
