Eleven eastern NC residents arrested in Onslow County during Operation Heartbreak

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit arrested 11 people on February 14, in what they call 'Operation Heartbreaker'. NCIS Special Operations Unit, DEU, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety's Probation and Parole and the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit all assisted with Operation Heartbreaker. Many of the charges involve possession of methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine. Akeem Cortez McQueen, 35 years old and of Jacksonville, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for a CS, manufacture methamphetamine, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana. McQueen was given a $172,000 bond. William Samuel Lugo, 34 years old and of Sneads Ferry, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, manufacture methamphetamine, conspire to deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lugo was given a $150,000 secured bond. Lani Wave Phillips, 33 years old and of Jacksonville, and Rodney Christopher Hurst Jr. , 21 years old and from Hubert, were charged with probation violation. Hurst was given a $10,000 bond and Phillips was given a $13,000 with the additional charge of resisting a public officer. William Roosevelt Badger, 32 years old and from Jacksonville, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Badger was given a $10,000 bond. Amy Marie Bramlett, Amber Rae Midgett, Robert James Rochelle, Jesse Paul Carr and Tyler Landon Taylor were not given a bond. Theresa Marie Smith's bond was a written promise to appear in court.
