Operation Save Bo Is On But EJ Complicates Everything on the May 5 Days of Our Lives
In the Monday, May 5 episode of Days of Our Lives, Chanel told Johnny that she understands his point of view. However, she still needs time and space to process his not wanting to go through with the adoption. So, there's hope for their marriage. Chad confronted EJ about his bidding on Cat in the recent online bachelorette auction. EJ decided to gift the winning bid to Chad. Shawn and Steve continued to plan. Operation Save Bo. The next steps involved Kayla. But there, of course, was a twist.
Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) forged ahead with their plans to steal Dr. Jeffrey Russell's (Michael Dietz) Versivex. Shawn is determined to create the miracle his father needs to get the sepsis infection out of his system and come back to them whole and healthy. Steve felt the next necessary step was bringing Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) into the situation.
Sure, Kayla normally doesn't want anything to do with the shades of gray, but this was a special case. This was her brother, and as a result, she found a way to help the cause. She left Dr. Russell's folder on her desk while she conveniently left to attend a staff meeting. That enabled Steve enough time to sift through the folder and get all the intel they needed for the heist to go smoothly, swiftly, and successfully.

Here's the sudden snag in what is a great move for Shawn and Steve. And that 'snag' goes by the name of EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). At the end of the episode, Russell picked up some carryout at The Pub, and when he left, he received a call from EJ. The shady doctor expressed frustration over Kayla, once again, denying his freedom from his contract with Salem University Hospital.
She told him he was well within his rights to walk away, but since he had a signed contract, Versivex and his other research remained the property of the hospital.

First of all, how did EJ hook up with Dr. Russell? How long have these two been connected? And this must be why teasers suggest EJ mixes it up with Kayla later this week. And we have to wait until Wednesday when EJ reveals his true intentions with Dr. Russell.
What do you think EJ wants with Versivex? The millions and millions they could make off this drug? Is that why he is no longer even thinking about the DA job he lost and how DiMera is under Titan rule? He's barely said anything or even reacted to the takeover.
