The event will witness leaders from 40 nations addressing Indo-Pacific Security challenges. The engagements will provide a platform to strengthen defence cooperation, discuss mutual security interests and enhance India's strategic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific May 25, CDS General Chauhan visited the Indian Army's Northern Command at Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir and Western Command at Chandimandir Military Station, interacted with the Army Commanders, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma and Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, and senior Staff Officers who were actively involved in the planning and execution of Operation the visit, he conducted a strategic review and operational assessment in the Northern and Western Udhampur, the CDS was briefed on the Northern Army's success in neutralising the terror network, the adversary's assets that supported terror, and countermeasures to protect their military assets and civil population during Operation Sindoor.

The visit came weeks after the Indian Navy's strategic Carrier Battle Group, led by INS Vikrant, played a decisive role during Operation his visit, Singh reviewed operational outcomes of the mission and interacted with naval personnel who were part of the deployment. His visit is seen as a morale booster for the forces, following Operation Sindoor's success in exerting pressure on Pakistan to de-escalate sources said that INS Vikrant's deployment acted as a strategic deterrent and sent a strong message to the adversary. The battle group's presence in the northern Arabian Sea, comprising 8 to 10 warships including destroyers and stealth guided missile frigates, reportedly influenced Pakistan's decision to seek a ceasefire. Pakistani naval forces remained docked at the Karachi Naval Base during the recent military conflict, avoiding direct confrontation.
