Operation Snow Eagle in Virginia targets drugs, fugitives, criminal activity

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Operation Snow Eagle was a criminal enforcement effort in Virginia put on by the Virginia State Police from Feb. 23 through March 1, police said. There were 111 search warrants executed during the allotted period. The operation accounted for all arrests, warrants, drug seizures, etc. made by the state police. Total arrests include 603 felony arrests and 136 misdemeanor arrests. This included 134 fugitives. The amount of narcotics that were seized were worth just under $11.6 million and included fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, mushrooms, hashish and marijuana. CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Campbell County Sheriff's Office says a joint operation with other local law enforcement during 'Operation Hide and Seek' resulted in the arrests of 7 people. On Friday, February 28 the Hide and Seek operation was completed and the following were arrested on said charges: Richard A Beavers (37) of Gladys, VA – 18.2-456 Failure to appear and 19.2-123 Violate Conditions of release. (Narcotics-related) Amanda Wood (32) -18.2-192 Credit Card Theft Casey J Gibson (36) of Lynch Station, VA – 18.2-456 Failure to appear (Restitution-related) John P Colbert (44) of Evington, VA – 18.2-51.6 Strangulation Marquell D Payne (29) of Lynch Station, VA – 18.2-60 Threats in writing Sara L Doyle (36) of Lynchburg, VA – 18.2-456 Failure to Appear Angela Mayhew (Taken into Custody) 18.2-250 Possession of SCH I/II narcotics and 18.2-308.4 Possession of a firearm while in possession of narcotics. Court documents reveal Pierce allegedly shot victims at child safe exchange drop-off The following items were seized: 37 Firearms Stolen Firearm Stolen Property Illegal Narcotics The operation was completed by the Campbell County Sheriff's Office's Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) and the field division, the Virginia State Police's Operation Snow Eagle, as well as the Central Virginia Drug and Gang Task Force, District 13 Probation and Parole, CCSO's Criminal Investigations Division, and Field Division.
