OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is now official

OnePlus is now selling Pad 2 Pro, a new tablet with a flagship chipset. The slate was listed on the Oppo store in China earlier this month, and we immediately spotted its similarities to another product from the same family - the Oppo Pad 4 Pro. Both devices share the exact same specs sheet, including a 13.2" LCD with up to 144 Hz refresh rate, 900 nits peak brightness and a resolution of 3,392 x 2,400 pixels. RAM is 8 GB, 12 GB, or 16 GB, while storage is 256 GB or 512 GB, all split into four different memory combinations. The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro has a 12,140 mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging support, and it offers top-tier connectivity options like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. OnePlus Pad 2 Pro measures under 6 mm thick (5.97 mm without the camera bump) and weighs 675 grams. It can be attached to a cover keyboard, sold separately. The oval camera island on the back has a 13 MP shooter and a color spectrum sensor, while the more important camera, the front one used in video calls, is just 8 MP. The tablet runs ColorOS 15 - it is absolutely normal for OnePlus devices in China to have the Oppo user interface. OnePlus Pad 2 Pro The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is available in Gray or Navy Blue. It is slightly cheaper than its Oppo twin, priced at CNY 3,199 for 8 256 GB, CNY 3,499 for 12 256 GB, CNY 3,799 for 12 512 GB, and CNY 3,999 for 16 512 GB. Source (in Chinese)

This is the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro and it looks familiar

Back in March a leak gave us the specs of an upcoming flagship OnePlus tablet which we assumed would be called Pad 2 Pro. The brand seemingly agrees with us, as the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro is indeed real and it's already listed on Oppo's online store in China. The full unveiling will take place on May 13, but it's pretty clear what this is just from taking a quick look at it - that is, a rebranded Oppo Pad 4 Pro, which launched in April. That's also what the leaked specs from March basically told us. OnePlus Pad 2 Pro official images The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro will be offered in two colorways, machine-translated from Chinese as Deep Ocean Blue and Glacier Silver. There will be four RAM/storage combos to pick from: 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 16/512GB. If our theory about this being an Oppo Pad 4 Pro under a different name is correct, then it's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and boasts a 13.2-inch 2400x3392 LCD touchscreen with 144 Hz refresh rate, a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front-facing camera, and a 12,140 mAh battery with 67W wired charging. It should run Android 15 from day one. It's unfortunately unclear if it will ever launch outside of China. Thanks for the tip!
