Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.39% in a weak market
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 10:09AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market. Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.53 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.19 per cent) were among the top gainers. Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd .(down 0.99 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd .(down 0.85 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty IT index was down 0.39 per cent at 36916.45 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 61.45 points at 24655.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 226.77 points at 81146.98. Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red. Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea , Ola Electric Mobilit , Reliance Power and Aptus Value Housing were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Deepak Fertilisers , AXISCADES Engg Tech, Authum Investment , Radico Khaitan and Paradeep Phosphates hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Capital Infra Trust, ABM International , Osia Hyper Retail , Sakuma Exports and Noida Toll Bridge Co hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
