Motivation lies within, not outside, says Jaya Kishori
Nagpur: True motivation does not come from outside, but from within — and it's deeply rooted in spirituality, said renowned motivational speaker and spiritual guide Jaya Kishori while captivating a packed audience in Nagpur on Monday evening.
She delivered the GH Raisoni memorial talk titled, 'You Are Enough: Confidence, Character & the Quiet Revolution Within', organised by Raisoni Foundation under the banner of the Orange City Literature Festival.
Held at Suresh Bhat Auditorium, the event drew more than 1,000 attendees who hung on to every word as Kishori spoke with her trademark warmth and humility about self worth, inner strength, and the importance of embracing one's uniqueness.
"Spirituality and religiousness are not separate but intertwined," she explained, urging the audience not to fear god, but to see the divine as a loving force who thinks highly of each individual. She cautioned people against comparing themselves with others, emphasising that everyone's journey is unique. Addressing modern challenges, she described overthinking as a disease and underscored the need for balance not only in spiritual matters but also in financial life.

Her insights also touched on family relationships, where she stressed the importance of understanding and compassion between parents and children. The event was graced by dignitaries including former MP Ajay Sancheti, Shobha Raisoni, Shreyas Raisoni, Palakh Raisoni, and Varsha Manohar.
Shreyas Raisoni, director of the Raisoni Group, described the talk as a tribute to the late GH Raisoni, whose life, he said, was guided by simplicity, humility, and strength of character.
