Roll7's 'OlliOlli World' and 'Rollerdrome' are back on Steam

Their creators might be gone, but OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome are finally back on Steam, based on listings spotted by Eurogamer . Both games were delisted from storefronts like Steam and the Xbox Games Store following publisher Take-Two's decision to shutdown developer Roll7, Intercept Games and publishing label Private Division a little over a year ago. OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome represent diverging, but equally great examples of what made Roll7 special. They're thoughtful, visually stylish games about skateboarding and rollerblading that capture the zen-like state you can enter pulling off multiple tricks in a row (plus or minus a mascot costume and a shotgun). Eurogamer notes that Take-Two always planned to put both games back on sale when it originally delisted them, it just took a lot longer to bring them back than expected. 2K, another Take-Two subsidiary, is now serving as the publisher. When the company closed Private Division, not every game stayed at Take-Two. The publisher continues to back games like No Rest for the Wicked from the developer of Ori and the Blind Forest , but a collection of other in-development projects were sold to Haveli Investments, Bloomberg reports. The investment firm brought on former Annapurna Interactive staff to manage the slate following the implosion of that indie-focused publisher and developer in September 2024.

Spectrum Brands Holdings Reports Fiscal 2025 Second Quarter Results

MIDDLETON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spectrum Brands Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SPB; 'Spectrum Brands' or the 'Company'), a leading global branded consumer products and home essentials company focused on driving innovation and providing exceptional customer service, today reported results from continuing operations for the second quarter of fiscal 2025 ended March 30, 2025. 'While our second quarter results were challenged by macroeconomic and tariff pressures, we believe that Spectrum Brands is well positioned to navigate this period of uncertainty and ultimately thrive. For the quarter, consumer sentiment in the U.S. declined faster than we had expected for our Global Pet Care and Home and Personal Care businesses, impacting category growth. While our Home and Garden business delivered another good quarter, we saw quarterly comparable sales decline as expected because of retailer pull-forwards into Q1. 'Despite these headwinds, I believe that our decisive actions position us well for the future. First, we benefit from the diversity, recession resilience and strong operating performance of our three business units and have a proven track record of navigating through difficult environments. 'Second, the strength of our balance sheet puts us in a unique position to capitalize on dislocation in our industry. Our vision is to at least double the size of our pet asset organically and through acquisition into areas such as niche food/treats, health and wellness and the growing cat segment. We believe that we can position the portfolio more towards power-branded faster-turning consumables while adding scale, which will lift the trading-multiple of Spectrum Brands. 'In response to the most recent tariff pressures, we pivoted our operating strategy to maximize cash. In addition, we have paused the import of virtually all finished goods purchases from China until the tariff levels decline to an amount where we can maintain our profitability and margins. I am happy to report that the transition of supply for the U.S. market out of China for our H&G and GPC businesses is happening relatively quickly. For H&G, we expect to have virtually eliminated this exposure by fiscal year-end. For GPC, after beginning the fiscal year with approximately $100 million of U.S. bound product purchases from China, we expect to reduce that exposure to approximately $20 million by fiscal year-end. Our HPC business faces more of a challenge, and our teams are accelerating plans to supply appliances from lower-tariffed countries. On the positive front, HPC is our most globalized business and historically approximately 80% of its profits come from outside of the U.S. market. Our best in class operations teams are hard at work securing new sources from outside of China. We believe that our long-standing relationships with suppliers and strong financial position will result in suppliers prioritizing our products in the transition out of China,' said David Maura, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Spectrum Brands. Fiscal 2025 Second Quarter Highlights This document reflects currently known and effective tariffs, including tariffs placed by the U.S. on other countries and tariffs announced by other countries on the U.S. This document does not include tariffs that have been announced and delayed, or other additional tariffs which could result in additional costs. Net sales decreased 6.0% with a decrease in organic net sales of 4.6%, excluding the impact of $10.1 million of unfavorable foreign exchange rates. The net sales decline was primarily due to category softness in the North American market for both our Global Pet Care and Home and Personal Care businesses and the timing of retailer inventory build timing in Home and Garden, where retailers pulled significant purchases into Q1. Gross profit and margin decreased from lower volume, higher trade promotions, unfavorable mix, inflation and higher tariffs from last year's expiration of exemptions on certain product lines partially offset by impacts from cost improvement actions and operational efficiencies. Operating income decreased due to the receipt in the prior year of representation and warranty insurance proceeds and increased investment spend in advertising and marketing partially offset by reduced tradename impairments and general expense management. Net income from continuing operations and diluted earnings per share decreased from the lower operating and investment income offset by lower interest costs, lower taxes and lower share count. Adjusted EBITDA decreased 36.5% and adjusted EBITDA margin decreased 500 basis points attributable to lower operating income and investment income. Adjusted diluted EPS decreased to $0.68 due to lower adjusted EBITDA offset by lower interest expense and a reduction in outstanding shares. Net sales decreased 7.1%. Excluding unfavorable foreign currency impacts, organic net sales decreased 6.3%. Companion Animal sales declined mid-single digits and Aquatics sales declined high-single digits. In Companion Animal, North American sales declined low double-digits, driven by category declines and softness across all sales channels. EMEA organic sales grew mid-single digits. Continued category softness in global Aquatics negatively impacted sales in each region. Adjusted EBITDA decreased due to lower sales volumes, increased brand-focused investments, inflation, trade spend and unfavorable mix, offset by cost improvements and other favorable variances. LATAM organic sales increased low double-digits, with growth in each business. Adjusted EBITDA was $7.3 million compared to $17.8 million in the prior year, and adjusted EBITDA margins declined to 2.9% compared to 6.6% last year, driven by lower volumes, higher trade spend, unfavorable mix, incremental tariffs from last year's exemption expiration, and inflation, offset by continued cost improvement initiatives, lower brand-focused investments and FX. Liquidity and Debt As of the end of the quarter, the Company had a cash balance of $96.0 million and total liquidity of $504.6 million, including undrawn capacity on its cash flow revolver of $408.6 million. The Company also had $656.9 million of debt outstanding, consisting of borrowings on the revolver of $83.0 million, senior unsecured notes of $496.1 million and finance leases of $77.8 million. The Company ended the quarter with net debt of approximately $560.9 million. Gal Gadot is using a recent health scare as a wake-up call to pregnant mothers everywhere. The 39-year-old 'Wonder Woman' actress, who turns 40 on April 30, gave birth to her fourth child — a daughter named Ori — in early 2024, but not without complications. During a March 18 appearance on 'The Drew Barrymore Show,' Gadot recalled learning of a massive blood clot in her brain while she was eight months pregnant. 'It was my 4th baby. This time around I had massive headaches that completely put me down,' she explained to host and fellow actress Drew Barrymore, per People. 'I was in bed and I couldn't hear or see anything. I had a hot bottle on my head and was just like this [lays back] all day, 24 hours,' she added. Despite going from one doctor to the next, Gadot remembers being told that she was likely dealing with a 'nasty migraine.' But that wasn't a good enough prognosis for her mother, Irit Gadot, who gave her some life-saving advice. 'None of the doctors sent me to get an MRI, even if we asked for it before,' Gadot explained, noting that it was her mother who advised her to go through with the imaging. 'Went to get an MRI and we were rushed to the hospital. I had a major brain clot,' the 'Snow White' actress recalled. Gadot says there's a good chance she wouldn't be here if she had gone through with a 'spontaneous delivery' due to the presence of three different clots in her head. 'It was the first time that I felt what it meant to be scared to death,' she continued. 'And again, had I known better, they could have just put me on blood thinners and done.' Gadot then recalls undergoing emergency surgery to treat the blood clot before giving birth to her daughter two hours later. She announced Ori's arrival in an Instagram post on March 6, 2024, but didn't elaborate on what made the pregnancy so difficult until Dec. 29 — when she revealed the blood clot for the first time. 'In one moment, my family and I were faced with how fragile life can be,' Gadot wrote in the Instagram caption at the time. 'It was a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change, and in the midst of a difficult year, all I wanted was to hold on and live,' she added. In her conversation with Barrymore on March 18, Gadot said her decision to open up about the experience was due to a lack of awareness surrounding the complication. She also gave her fans the same life-saving advice her mother gave her more than a year ago. 'Three out of 100,000 pregnant women will have a brain clot. But if you feel any symptoms just check yourself,' Gadot explained. 'MRI is very easy and there's no radiation or anything.' According to Mayo Clinic, a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is 'a medical imaging technique that uses a magnetic field and computer-generated radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues.' 'Always advocate for your health. Always. Listen to yourself, advocate for your heart. If anything, you just over-checked yourself, right? That's okay,' she advised. Ori and the Blind Forest developer Moon Studios is now "fully independent" after "months of negotiation" with what's left of Private Division. The studio moved away from the titular white dog-spirit-thing to create a Diablo-esque action RPG – No Rest for the Wicked – which launched into early access last year. The game was published by 2K Games' subsidiary Private Division, but after 2K sold the publishing arm (which resulted in the closure of Roll7 and Intercept Games), many were unsure about how things would pan out for the game, especially since the studio went silent for several months. However, it's good news as Moon Studios has announced it's now fully independent and has secured the publishing rights for No Rest for the Wicked. In a brand new episode of the Wicked Inside Showcase, Moon Studios explained that the sale of Private Division spurred the studio to start "months of negotiation" to buy the rights to No Rest for the Wicked. And this isn't an announcement of intent; Moon Studios' co-founder Thomas Mahler confirmed that the deal is done and that the studio is now "fully independent." However, the studio wasn't just sitting on its hands while negotiations were going on, with co-founder Gennadiy Korol saying, "We've used this extra time to create something truly special," before introducing the game's latest update, 'The Breach.' The new update – launching on April 30, 2025 – is set to bring pretty much more of everything to the game. New areas like the Lowland Meadows and Marin Woods, new weapon archetypes with Gauntlets and Wands, as well as some visual and performance upgrades. However, it's the refinements and emphasis on replayability that make the update more exciting, giving a ton of quality-of-life updates like being able to teleport directly to your house and an overhauled storage system. On top of that, there's a new Hardcore mode to give those of you looking for a challenge a new reason to go back to the game. Alongside the new split from Private Division, Moon Studios is getting back together with Ori and the Blind Forest composer Gareth Coker, who has contributed some new tunes to No Rest for the Wicked's The Breach Coker is also contributing music to Dotemu's recently announced roguelike brawler Absolum, which is set to launch later this year.
