White Castle is giving away free sliders. Here's when and what to know
White Castle is celebrating its Original Slider with a one-day giveaway. On Thursday, May 15, anyone can get a free Original Slider when they order online or in the White Castle app on National Slider Day, according to the Ohio-based burger chain. No purchase is necessary. The 2x2-inch burger, introduced in 1921, is made with an all-beef patty grilled on a bed of onions and served on a bun. The freebie marks the 10th annual National Slider Day, first celebrated in 2015 after the Original Slider was dubbed 'the most influential burger of all time' by Time magazine, White Castle said. 'We think a burger that has had so much influence in the food industry is worthy of its own special day, and what better way to celebrate than to thank our customers with a complimentary Slider,' Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle, said in a news release. Customers can find the digital coupon online and on White Castle social media pages, or use promo code 'SLIDERDAY' in the mobile app, the restaurant said.
