Qatar's reserve basketball team's Arab Championship campaign in Bahrain ends

Qatar's reserve men's basketball team wrapped up their campaign at the 26th Arab Men's National Teams Championship, hosted by Bahrain, with seven teams competing: Qatar, hosts Bahrain, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, the UAE, and Kuwait.
In their final match on Saturday at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Manama, Qatar's reserve team fell to Tunisia 72-79 in a fiercely contested game. Despite trailing in the first two quarters, Qatar mounted a spirited comeback in the second half.
Tunisia held the upper hand early, leading 22-14 in the first quarter and 29-17 in the second, capitalizing on physical dominance and squad depth. However, Qatar rallied impressively, winning the third quarter 22-18 and dominating the fourth 19-10, narrowing the gap to just seven points by the final buzzer.
Qatar's Dejan Janjic shone brightly, scoring 32 points and showcasing exceptional offensive and defensive skills. Tunisia's Osama Al Marhawi led his team with 21 points.
Qatar's reserve team concluded the tournament with 8 points, securing victories against Kuwait (72-69) and the UAE (78-71), but suffering defeats to Bahrain (61-72), Egypt (69-90), Algeria (66-92), and Tunisia (72-79).
