Victim of deadly crash was driving Consumers Energy truck, deputies say

ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man who died after being thrown from a vehicle during a crash in Zeeland Township was driving a Consumers Energy truck, deputies say. Deputies: 1 dead after Zeeland Township crash Around 7:30 p.m. , the 43-year-old Blendon Township man was headed south on 88th Avenue in a Consumers Energy F-550 truck approaching Ransom Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. A 64-year-old Park Township woman was headed west on Ransom Street in a Toyota Corolla. The two collided, throwing the man from the truck. He died at the scene, according to deputies. The woman in the Toyota was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is investigating. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Deputies: Over 45 vehicles' tires slashed in Holland Twp

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Over 45 vehicles had their tires slashed in Holland Township early Saturday morning, deputies say. On Saturday morning, deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office were sent to the area of Millpond Drive and Fletch Street after receiving multiple reports about vehicles with slashed tires. The sheriff's office said they were slashed between midnight and 7 a.m. The majority of the vehicles were on Millpond Drive with some also parked at businesses on Felch Street. No suspect information was released. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office at 616.738.4000 or Silent Observer at 877.887.4536.
