Lorraine Kelly taken aback as Amanda Owen makes foul-mouthed swipe at ex-husband Clive
Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen did not hold back as she jokingly ranted about ex-husband Clive during an appearance on Lorraine on Wednesday morning. Amanda Owen left Lorraine Kelly stunned with a candid and somewhat irreverent remark about her ex-husband Clive as she opened up about raising their nine children together. Their children are Raven, 23, Reuben, 21, Miles, 18, Edith, 16, Violet, 14, Sidney, 13, Annas, 11, Clemmy, nine, and Nancy, eight. The 50 year old shepherdess and Clive parted ways three years ago after a 22-year marriage. Fans of Our Yorkshire Farm adored the couple, watching them and their children grow at Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire. Amanda, now starring in Channel 4's Our Farm Next Door, appeared on Lorraine to discuss her hectic life. However, the conversation took an unexpected turn, reports the Express. Amanda pondered, cradling a lamb: "Why have I got nine children? Because I never set out to have nine children. "It was never a big dream to have a big family that didn't come from anywhere. "Believe me, there was never a sit-down moment where we said, 'Let's try and repopulate Swaledale.'" She revealed that her children keep her spirits high and entertained during the chat. Shortly after, she confessed: "They run me ragged. They drive me mad." Then, she quipped: "I haven't got anything to complain about. Well, I have, obviously, Clive for a start... Yeah you can tell Lorraine we're in perfect f***ing harmony." Following her candid remark, the camera cut to Clive in the background, operating a tractor. Amanda shared: "I complain about him. I complain about the state of the houses. I complain about the kids throwing things everywhere. "I complain about the sheep that this lamb belongs to." Catch Lorraine every weekday at 9am on ITV1, with episodes also available for streaming on ITVX. The Owen family 's journey on Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive, and Kids reached its conclusion earlier this week. The clan made significant headway in their refurbishment of Anty John's abode. Amanda Owen confirmed there remains a long road ahead to see the renovation through to completion. As the episode wrapped up, it was revealed that the family are pressing on with the project, with Amanda confirming they were "forging ahead." "We're really on to the next stage," announced the mum-of-nine. In the programme's final moments, viewers were treated to an image of the house with all the workers gathered outside. The screen then displayed the message 'To Be continued...' While fans may be saddened by the series ending, they can look forward to a new offering hosted by Matt Baker. According to the TV listings, Matt Baker's British Isles will fill the 9pm Tuesday slot on More4, taking over from Our Farm Next Door. The synopsis for the first episode reads: "Matt Baker explores the four nations of the UK. In this first episode, he heads to Kent to meet the Englishman teaming up with one of the world's most prestigious champagne houses to realise a dream of making the first true Anglo-French sparkling wine. In the Highlands, Matt meets two ex-farmers whose lives are entwined with the village of Crathie's church." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!

Amanda Owen gathers whole family for 'momentous' home update
Amanda Owen said it was "momentous" as she gathered her family for an important announcement during the final episode of Our Farm Next Door The much-loved reality show Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids rounded off its second series on Tuesday. First gracing screens in 2018, Our Yorkshire Farm shares the unique lifestyle of Clive and Amanda Owen alongside their nine children on their secluded sheep farm in Yorkshire. Amanda and Clive are parents to nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy. The popular documentary series wrapped up in 2022 following Amanda and Clive's separation. Still captivating audiences, the Owens have returned with the next chapter of their lives in Our Farm Next Door, charting the family's adventures as they renovate a historic farmhouse nestled in the idyllic countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. The 1800s property is located in Swaledale near Ravenseat Farm and it is named Anty John after a former owner called Anthony John Clarkson, reports Leeds Live. In the closing episode of series two on Tuesday evening, Amanda brought the whole clan together to reveal the latest developments in their ongoing renovation after 20 months of hard work. Even in the middle of the busy lambing season, Amanda found time for her family to gather at Anty John's and reflect, commenting: "There's a lot going on but we have managed to make time today to gather everybody, the whole family, to come to Anty John's. So this is quite momentous really. "There's a little bit more warmth, things are greening up a little bit, so it's all about new life and new starts and all the rest of it. So I guess that ties in very nicely with Anty John's as that's certainly a new beginning." As the family came together for an outdoor picnic on their land, Clive remarked: "Ay, it looks well now, doesn't it?" while conversing with Richard, Kelly, and David who were also present at the property. Reflecting on the journey, Amanda mused: "I suppose to reflect really on how far we've got and how far we've got to go", acknowledging that the restoration process has been a "huge learning curve". In the midst of this reflection, there was light-hearted banter about whether the estate would fall into ruin once more, prompting Amanda to firmly retort: "No it will not ever be a ruin again, if Reuben moves in, yes it will become a ruin again!" Looking towards the future, Amanda revealed her plans: "Work is continuing and we're forging ahead, it's like we're nearly onto the next stage. Once we've got the plaster on and the floor done, there's no reason why some of this stuff [the furniture] can't go up there", asking for her daughters' help in styling the property. At the close of the episode, a Channel 4 teaser left viewers in suspense with the message "to be continued..." etched across the screen.

Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen discusses raising nine 'feral' children and the 'life lessons' they learn in the countryside
Our Yorkshire Farm 's Amanda Owen has discussed raising her nine 'feral' children in the Yorkshire Dales, and the 'life lessons' they learn daily. The shepherdess, 46, has children Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy with ex-husband Clive. The family live on a 2,000-acre working farm and their life has been documented in the TV series Our Yorkshire Farm and Our Farm Next Door. And now, Amanda has shared that the freedom her children enjoy is an invaluable lesson for the rest of their lives. She told Yorkshire Life magazine: 'Life here prepares you for life anywhere. It gives you a can-do mindset, common sense, and a work ethic. It teaches you that you can turn your hand to anything, that you won't give up, and that sometimes life is hard and you don't get the results you want, no matter how hard you try.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She added: 'You want to keep your child safe, of course. But danger comes in many forms, whether it's vehicles, fast-flowing rivers, things with teeth and hooves, or even through a small screen. Who knows where the danger's coming from, but you can't live your life being risk-averse, and I wouldn't teach that or champion it. 'It's seeing it and negating that danger, it's not keeping them entirely away from it, because you learn the respect and how to operate, and those lessons are probably learned as well as anything here.' It comes after Amanda defiantly hit back at critics after a string of cruel swipes about her looks. She appeared on Wednesday's episode of ITV show Lorraine in a clip showing a glimpse of life on the farm. Amanda opened up about how despite getting stuck in with caring for the animals and land, she still enjoys taking pride in her appearance, hitting back against stereotypes. 'I like my makeup. I like to try and make an effort and I know that sounds very vain,' she shared. The camera panned to show her sat in a farming vehicle and looking in the mirror while she put lipstick on. The shepherdess added: 'But if anyone wants to say 'aw you know you've got some mascara on you can't be a shepherd' - tough, because I am. 'I take great joy and happiness in what I do, so therefore I keep doing that.' It isn't the first time Amanda has spoken out against people claiming she is 'too glamorous'. Back in 2021, she addressed the topic on Steph's Packed Lunch, according to the Mirror . 'Throughout it all you stay so glamorous. Which, always, I'm amazed about,' host Steph McGovern commented. Amanda replied: 'Look at my hands though Steph. Honestly, I've got iodine up my arm.' She went on to discuss the assumptions people may have and added: 'Yes we don't like stereotypes. I think that's the thing - you know. I mean yes I've got a sheepdog, yes I've got a crook. 'Yes I spend my time running around after sheep, but I can do other things too.' While more recently, Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen defiantly hit back at critics after being slammed for a 'disgusting and disturbing' video shared by his mother, Amanda. Earlier this month, the shepherdess took to her Instagram page to share a clip of her son Reuben, 21, helping her out on the Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, Yorkshire. In the clip, mum-of-nine Amanda can be heard saying: 'Well this is what you've been getting up to in lambing fields,' while Reuben is laying across an ewe and lamb. He then picks up the ewe by the horns and she tells her son: 'You did great there! And you got the lamb at the same time.' Amanda captioned the post: 'Caught ewe. Reuben downs tools and springs into action. '*Everyone lends a hand, there is no one exempt from lambing time tasks*.' However, many fans were confused by the post and didn't like seeing Reuben handle the ewe as they didn't know what he was actually doing. Some took to leaving comments including, 'Why are you treating the ewe like that? Absolutely disgusting and I'm disappointed as I thought you were better than that.' 'Or, I didn't like how you held the sheep! Absolutely disturbing! Animals are treated with respect and not like trash!' In an interview with The Telegraph, Reuben responded to the online furore and said: 'I don't have the time or the inclination to scroll through social media.' The young farmer added: 'If you do ever see me on my phone, I'll be searching for machinery sales.' Some did jump to the 21-year-old's defence however and penned: 'Please ignore comments from any animal activist… if we all listened to them nothing would ever get done and we'd all be starving by now . Carry on farming.' Another said: 'Kindness is a gift, if you cannot say anything nice please say nothing at all.

More info Coronation Street has been captivating viewers with a string of dramatic events, and tonight's episode is set to keep the momentum going. The show will unveil Mick and Lou Michaelis' daughters Joanie and Shanice, portrayed by rising starlet Molly Kilduff. The debut of the Michaelis daughters comes after multiple mentions in the show, with their onscreen mother ushering them away due to undisclosed reasons. Tensions spike when Tim takes an injured Lou to A&E, exacerbating the mystery around their family's situation. Previous spoilers hinted that Lou escapes her abusive circumstances but leaves her daughters behind with Tim. Speculation mounts about Lou's fate as the week progresses and her daughters remain with Tim. READ MORE - Bargain Hunt expert makes £1million from object abandoned in cardboard box READ MORE - Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben dealt crushing blow as Clive tells him he 'can't' Molly's sister Jade, a member of the celebrated BGT sign-language choir Sign Along With Us, expressed her pride on Instagram. The 2020 ITV talent show contestant posted a cheerful snapshot with Molly outside the Rovers Return, gushing over her sister's accomplishments and character. Jade's caption radiates familial adoration: "Could not be prouder of you Molly Moo ! ! Such a beautiful, funny, confident, talented and above all kind little girl. Shining bright on those cobbles like the star you are.", reports the Mirror. Supporters were quick to shower the new actress with praise in the comments section, as one admirer posted: "Ohh she's adorable. Well done little superstar!" while another stated similarly: "She's a little superstar." The group made a lasting impression on the Britain's Got Talent judges when they received the much-coveted Golden Buzzer from former panel member, David Walliams. Consisting of 69 performers, the group finished as runners-up, narrowly missing the top spot to the comedic musician Jon Courtenay – who notably became the first Golden Buzzer act to clinch victory in the show. At the time of their BGT entry, Jade was 18 years old and her brother Christian, also a member of the ensemble, was merely four. Having spearheaded the sign language class following her efforts to teach her younger sibling, Christian, who lives with coordination challenges due to cerebral palsy, Jade showed true initiative and compassion. Soap newcomers Mick and Lou, having joined earlier this year, won't be part of the canvas for long. News broke in March that the duo are set to depart following a compelling "major storyline" scheduled to wrap up by the summer. Joe Layton, the actor behind the character of Mick, offered insights regarding his brief tenure: "I knew about it from when the casting came through from my agent, so even for the prep for the tape you take a dive into the psychology of him, how you inhabit these kind of head spaces. I think for me, the opportunity to step into Corrie for six months with a start and a finish point is a real gift." Catch all the drama of Coronation Street as it unfolds Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.

Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben dealt crushing blow as Clive tells him he 'can't'
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Reuben Owen faced a significant setback in the opening episode of his new Channel 5 series, Life on the Dales. The 21-year-old, who rose to fame with his family on Our Yorkshire Farm, is now expanding his own heavy plant machinery business. Channel 5's Tuesday episode saw Reuben undertaking his most substantial project of the season at an old barn, where he detailed that the entire back area of a house needed excavating. Assisting him on this venture was his father Clive Owen, who pitched in to ready the ground for renovation work at the behest of homeowner John. READ MORE - Bargain Hunt expert makes £1million from object abandoned in cardboard box READ MORE - GBBO's Mary Berry, 90, shares simple diet change she's made to stay healthy John shared his renovation vision with them – turning the end of the barn into two additional bedrooms and explained: "The first stage is to clear out all the soil from the side of the barn which is creating a lot of damp inside." He also highlighted a decades-old issue saying, "All the soil has been piled up for at least 20 years, pulling in all that water into the brickwork so we don't know what the foundations are like.", reports Leeds Live. Despite the potential risks, Clive reassured the homeowner they were anticipating everything to be fine, but emphasised the importance of meticulously examining the foundations to ensure the barn's stability. However, trouble struck on the following day as they set to lower the garden down to road level, wherein a voiceover dramatically recounted their unpleasant find: "He (Reuben) and Clive have made a disturbing discovery. Their worst fears for the excavation have been realised as the ancient barns' foundations are crumbling beneath them." Clive had a frank discussion with his son about the construction issues they faced, noting the subpar conditions: "As we stand, I don't think you're able to continue with the original plan. So another option needs to be found because the foundations of that house aren't built on good enough stuff, is it?". Ultimately, Clive and Reuben had no choice but to inform John that proceeding was not an option due to the unsatisfactory foundation they discovered. Reuben, anxious about the potential collapse of a wall, took preventive measures by refilling the soil next to the wall for added support. Sharing his concerns on camera, Reuben confessed: "These things stress me out because I'm in charge. Any damage comes back to me and anyone that gets hurt on this job, it comes back to me." He added, revealing his cautious approach: "So, although I am keen to crack on, I just don't want anyone to get hurt or anyone's property getting damaged because I think it would cost more than I've currently got in my biscuit tin under the bed!". Faced with these challenges, the homeowner was left with no choice but to opt for constructing a stone patio instead of the initial plan to add two more rooms after removing the soil.
