CHAN 2024: Morocco vs DR Congo – How to Watch & Predicted Score

Morocco and DR Congo meet at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi in a crucial Group C match of the TotalEnergies CHAN 2024. Both former champions sit on six points. Morocco need only a draw to reach the quarter-finals, while DR Congo must win to keep their hopes alive. Malian referee Ousmane Diakate will blow the kick-off whistle at 1:00 pm (GMT+1), and fans can catch the action live on BeIN Sports MENA, BeIN Sports France, and SuperSports. Morocco coach Tarek Sektioui is aiming for victory. 'This is a very crucial match for us and our ambition is to get into the quarter finals. A win is all we are searching for. Our players have remained very professional, very committed to getting the win against a very tough opponent,' he said. Defender Mohamed Moufid added: 'It is not an easy match but one that we must play with a lot of courage and sacrifice. DR Congo have shown what they are worth as a team and it is not an opponent we can face lightly. We want to go to the next round and we have to sacrifice and play with a lot of heart.' DR Congo coach Otis Ngoma admits the pressure is on. 'It is not an easy match. These are two former champions meeting and there is a lot at stake. More so on the day, we have a quarter final ticket to play for,' he said. Midfielder Age Basiala added: 'Everyone knows that Morocco is not an easy team. They are one of the favourites for this Cup and we need to try and get into the game as quickly as possible and make less mistakes. Against such an opponent, any small mistake you make, you get punished. We really want to make the quarter finals and that means we have to win tomorrow.' DR Congo also face the absence of Papy Kokeleya, with 21-year-old Jacques Kapanga Mwimba expected to step in at left-back. Tags: CHAN 2024DR CongoMorocco

CHAN 2024: Uganda vs Niger – How to Watch & Predicted Score

Uganda will face Niger for the first time at the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) when the two meet in Kampala in a Group C fixture. Malian referee Ousmane Diakate will blow the kick-off whistle at 6:00 PM Morocco time (GMT+1), and fans can catch the action live on beIN Connect FRANCE, beIN Connect MENA HD, beIN Connect USA, beIN Sports Australia 2 HD, beIN Sports France 6 HD max, beIN Sports MENA 6 HD, SuperSport MáXimo 1 HD, SuperSport MáXimo 360, and SuperSport Variety 4 HD. It will be Uganda's eighth meeting with West African opposition at CHAN, having recorded three wins, two draws and two defeats in previous encounters. They have beaten Burkina Faso, Senegal and Guinea at the current and past tournaments, drawn with Mali (2016) and Côte d'Ivoire (2018), and lost to Togo (2020) and Côte d'Ivoire (2022). Niger, meanwhile, are playing their first match against East African opponents at CHAN. They have faced tournament hosts twice before – losing on penalties to Sudan in the 2011 quarter-final and suffering a 5-0 semi-final defeat to Algeria in 2022. Uganda head coach Morley Byekwaso says his side will adapt tactically to counter Niger's approach. 'No game is the same. Each match presents different challenges… tactics will have to change a bit because Niger's style of play is different,' he said. He also urged home fans to turn out in force: 'This match is decisive for our hopes of qualification.' Defender Gavin Mugweri Kizito warned against complacency. 'We will not assume it will be easy just because they lost. We are mentally, physically, and technically prepared… The most important thing is to win and avoid conceding goals.' Niger coach Harouna Doulla stressed the need to correct mistakes from their opening loss. 'We have to rectify some mistakes… and pressure our opponent, using our strengths,' he said, adding his side is prepared for Uganda's intense home support. Captain Abdoul Kahar Issoufou Boubacar called for focus. 'Against Uganda, we will play cautiously… In Niger, there is a saying that nothing is impossible.' Score Prediction: Uganda's home advantage and disciplined defence could prove decisive. Expect a narrow contest, with Uganda winning it 1–0. Tags: CHAN 2024NigerUganda
