Primark's new bag looks similar to a designer version - but there's a huge price difference
Primark is stocking a new bag that bears a striking resemblance to a pricier alternative. Known for its affordable fashion and homeware, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.
The retailer's Oversized Weave Shoulder Bag looks similar to a style by designer brand Dragon Diffusion but at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the Primark version for £14, while the high end version is currently priced at £430 online.
The bags are very similar, with a woven, leather-look finish, and structured shape. They both also feature top handles in similar woven patterns and no fastening.
However, there are some differences between the two. The designer bag is real leather while Primark's is synthetic, and the neutral tone of the more expensive version is lighter too.
Primark describes the Oversized Weave Shoulder Bag as an "oversized woven tote bag with top handles, wide base in faux leather." It comes in sand and black and is priced at £14.
