Kanye West Reportedly Might Have A New Name
Ye has apparently switched up his moniker yet again, nearly four years after he legally renounced his birth name, Kanye Omari West. In business documents obtained by multiple outlets on Tuesday, the rapper was listed under the name 'Ye Ye.' West's chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, reportedly filed the documents with the California Secretary of State. 'Ye Ye' was listed as the 'manager or member' of West's companies Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label and Ox Paha Inc. in the documents, according to E! News. It's unclear whether the 'Power' musician, who has not publicly announced his new moniker, has filed separate documents to legally change his name again. Ye's representatives did not immediately reply to HuffPost's request for comment. In October 2021, a Los Angeles judge approved the 24-time Grammy winner's petition to officially change his name to Ye after he requested the name change in August. Several years earlier, in a 2018 post on what was then Twitter, the artist had written, 'The being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE.' 'I believe Ye is the most commonly used word in the Bible,' he said in the June 2018 interview. 'In the Bible it means 'you.' So I'm you, I'm us. It went from being Kanye, which means the only one, to being just Ye — just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, everything. I'm just more a reflection of who we are.'

Ye Ye? Kanye West sparks name change speculation with new business documents
Music mogul and fashion entrepreneur Kanye West appears to be embracing yet another evolution of his identity. The rapper, who legally shortened his name to Ye in 2018, has now been referred to as Ye Ye in several official business documents filed in the state of California. According to documents obtained by E! News, the name "Ye Ye" is listed in filings related to West's ventures, including Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label, and Ox Paha Inc. His Chief Financial Officer, Hussain Lalani, used the updated name when identifying West as a key figure in the companies, naming him as a "manager or member," according to E! News. As of now, it remains unclear whether the 48-year-old artist has initiated a formal legal name change to Ye Ye. In California, such a change would require publishing a legal notice in a local newspaper before a judge considers the petition. No such public filing has yet been reported. West's interest in name changes is rooted in deeper personal and spiritual meaning. When he changed his name to Ye in 2018, he explained the decision by referencing religious texts, and was quoted as saying by E! News, "In the Bible, it means 'you.' So, I'm you, I'm us, it's us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye, just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confusion, everything." The name Ye was also the title of his eighth studio album, which he described as embodying the energy and duality of human nature. "I wanted something that felt with the energy," he said in an interview at the time, adding, "Just with the universe was giving me, I wanted to match that energy." Most recently, West appeared to distance himself from his previous online persona. On May 31, he announced his departure from his verified account on X (formerly Twitter), which still bears the handle @kanyewest. "Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest Twitter cause my name is Ye," he wrote, adding, "Gonna start a ye account and it is what it is." West shares four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Kanye West has 'very different name now' after rebranding himself
Kanye West, also known as Ye, is said to have changed his name for the second time in recent years, with the rapper's latest name reportedly disclosed on business documents Kanye West, also known as Ye, has quietly changed his name for the second time in recent years. The rapper's latest name is said to have been used on legal documents related to businesses associated with him. The musician, 48, is reportedly referred to as Ye Ye on documents filed with the State of California by his chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani. It comes after he had previously become known as Ye, with it announced that he had legally changed his name to that in 2021. His apparent latest name hasn't been publicly announced by him, though. It's said to have emerged when his businesses filed a Statement of Information, which provides up-to-date information for an entity, such as addresses and directors. The US Sun, which has reportedly seen the documents in question, states that Ox Paha Inc now calls him 'Ye Ye' on them. It further claims that his clothing brand Yeezy Apparel, as well as his music businesses Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc, are also referring to him by that name. It adds that the business headquarters of Ox Paha Inc., Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc. has changed. It was said to have been a church in Northridge, Los Angeles, that burnt down after being left vacant by him, but is now reportedly listed as the office building in the city of Los Angeles that he bought in 2023, reports the Mirror US. The news comes after he announced earlier this month that he would be making a new account on X to reflect his name Ye. He shared his plans in a post on June 1. He wrote in a message to his followers on the platform: "Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest Twitter cause my name is Ye. Gonna start a Ye account and it is what it is." It came after Piers Morgan mentioned his handle on the platform du r ing an interview last month. The rapper had walked out of an interview on Uncensored. He left after Piers said that he had 32 million, rather than 33 million, followers on X. The host later issued a correction, but within minutes of the interview starting, he had left. Piers later suggested that it happened before he could ask about antisemitism and other topics. Ye - who in tweets weeks later said he was "done with antisemitism" and that he loves "all people," as well posting "God forgive me for the pain I've caused" - having been criticised for comments and other actions in recent years. Just last month, it was reported that he had released a song titled Heil Hitler (Hooligan Version). Host Piers told fellow guest Sneako after Ye left: "Tell him from me he's a snivelling, little coward, and he's an anti-semite and a Hitler worshipper. That's what I would have asked him if he'd had the b***s to sit there and take the questions." One fan later wrote on X: " Piers Morgan calling him ' Kanye West ' is exactly why Ye left the interview." Piers reacted to the suggestion by saying: "His X account name is @kanyewest …" The rapper has since shared plans to stop using the @kanyewest on the platform.

Kanye shocks with another unexpected name change
Kanye West has changed his name for the second time in recent years, according to new legal documents obtained by The U.S. Sun The disgraced Kanye, 48, officially changed his name to 'Ye' in 2021 after filing papers in Los Angeles court, but now has seemingly changed his mind again. On new business documents filed by his chief financial officer Hussain Lalani with the State of California, it states that his new name is now 'Ye Ye'. The double Ye is different from other papers which had been previously filed, as his official title was 'Ye West.' This has come to light when his core businesses filed a 'Statement of Information' with California's Secretary of State, which gives the most up-to-date details for a business such as the office address, officers, directors and the type of industry. One of his main firms, Ox Paha Inc, which has filed hundreds of trademarks on behalf of Ye, now calls him 'Ye Ye' on official documents. His clothing company Yeezy Apparel and music businesses, Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc, have also followed suit. He has yet to publicly announce his new name on social media. Meanwhile, as The U.S. Sun previously reported, Kanye's wife Bianca Censori recently filed papers to start her own business. She registered Bianca Censori Inc. last month in California, and also registered her full name as an Australian firm based in Alphington, a Melbourne suburb. New headquarters In the case of Ox Paha Inc, Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc, the business headquarters has changed from a church in Northridge, Los Angeles, which burnt down in October after being left vacant by Kanye. Their headquarters is now listed as the office building he purchased for $6.7 million in March 2023 on trendy Melrose Ave. The building was bought by his firm Ox Paha, according to records. It has also been left to rot in the last couple of years. In March, police were called when a swastika was painted on the side of the building in the aftermath of vile antisemitic comments he'd made on X, formerly known as Twitter. Kanye has been particularly prickly about being called his birth name recently – walking out on an interview with Piers Morgan because he dared to call him Kanye. He recently took to X to reiterate that his name is Ye seemingly after the altercation with the British TV presenter last month. Piers explained the incident on Instagram saying: 'I interviewed Kanye West again today. 'As I expected, given what I've said about him recently, it didn't last long or go well. 'This was him right before he stomped off like a big baby before I could ask him why he's become a vile, Hitler-loving, Nazi-slathering, anti-Semitic pr**k.' When a Ye fan site pointed out on X that 'Piers Morgan calling him 'Kanye West' is exactly why Ye left the interview,' Piers responded: 'His X account name is @kanyewest'. On June 1, Ye went onto X and fumed: 'Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest twitter cause my name is Ye … Gonna start a ye account and it is what it is.'
