Illegal e-bike and rider's drugs seized by Thames Valley Police
Drugs have been seized from an illegal e-bike rider on Oxford Road.
Thames Valley Police updated that yesterday evening (Saturday, August 9) its Oxford South Neighbourhood Team stopped a rider in Littlemore.
The e-bike they were on was illegal and further checks revealed that there were also drugs on their person.
Both the e-bike and the drugs were seized, and an investigation has begun.

A spokesperson for police said: 'Tonight the Oxford South Neighbourhood Team stopped a rider on Oxford Road, Littlemore using an illegal e-bike in the area.
The illegal e-bike was seized (Image: TVP) 'During the stop, officers discovered that the rider was also in possession of drugs. Both the e-bike and the substances have been seized, and investigations are ongoing.'
Following this incident, police have reminded the general public about the laws surrounding e-bikes, including that they are subject to licensing and insurance protocols just like other motor vehicles.

'We will continue to take action to keep our roads and communities safe.
