There are a further 72 units of the PANJI model in Ireland.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission warned the harness can be put on backwards meaning the rope would be attached to the wrong place.
This would leave the user open to "serious injuries" as they are at "risk of falling from height".

The CCPC said: "The risk reported to CCPC is injuries.
"The harness can be put on backwards, and the rope or carabiner can be attached to a non-weightbearing leg loop elastic band.
"This places the user at a risk of falling from height and sustaining serious injuries.
"The brand is Petzl. The Models are GYM, PANDION and PANJI."
