Millie Bobby Brown, Gabriel LaBelle to Star in Netflix Romantic Comedy ‘Just Picture It' (Exclusive)
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and Gabriel LaBelle, who broke out with Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans, will star in Just Picture It, a romantic comedy set up at Netflix. Lee Toland Krieger, known for helming the drama The Age of Adaline and episodes of Netflix's hit You, will direct the feature. The real glitch? They have yet to meet each other. Veterans Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are producing Just Picture It. Brown and Robert Brown are also producing, via their PCMA Productions. The project is Brown's first romantic comedy and she has shepherded the project from inception. Executive producing are Alyssa Altman of R/K Films, Jake Bongiovi and Isobel Roberts for PCMA Productions, and David Kern. This is the first feature sale for Lasky, who hails from the TV world. He began his career in New York comedy as a monologue joke writer for The Late Show with David Letterman and later acted as an associate producer on the entire run of the ABC's series Revenge. On top of writing freelance episodes, he wrote and produced all DVD bonus features for the show, and was also hired to write the Revenge spin-off novel that was published by Hyperion. He was also a staff writer on the medical drama Code Black and has sold pilots across town. LaBelle famously starred as a young Steven Spielberg in the director's Oscar-nominated semi-autobiographical drama The Fabelmans. Last year, he was the center of Saturday Night, portraying Lorne Michaels in Jason Reitman's tale of the making of Saturday Night Live's first episode. Brown is a Netflix feature favorite thanks to her enduring role as Eleven in the company's Stranger Things series, which has its fifth and final season arriving in two parts in November. Earlier this year, she starred in the big-budget sci-fi adventure movie The Electric State opposite Chris Pratt, and last year toplined the dragon fantasy Damsel, both for Netlix. Damsel, which she also produced, is number 9 on the streamer's most popular films list (English). She recently wrapped Enola Holmes 3, in which she stars and also executive produced for PCMA. Yara Sameh Millie Bobby Brown and Gabriel LaBelle are teaming up in 'Just Picture It,' an upcoming romantic-comedy feature at Netflix. They will star as two college students who are surprised when their phones glitch and start showing them pictures from 10 years in the future, featuring them as a happily married couple with kids. It's mostly weird because they have yet to meet each other. Lee Toland Krieger ('The Age of Adaline') will direct 'Just Picture It' from a script by Jesse Lasky, who used to write for 'The Late Show With David Letterman.' Brown has shepherded 'Just Picture It' from inception and will serve as a producer, while her husband, Jake Bongiovi, will executive produce. The 21-year-old was propelled to fame as a pre-teen on Netflix's 'Stranger Things', which the fifth and final season debuts in November. Brown has since worked closely with the giant streamer on the Sherlock Holmes spinoff series 'Enola Holmes' and fantasy adventure 'Damsel.' She also has 'Enola Holmes 3' in the works at Netflix as well as plans to adapt her debut novel 'Nineteen Steps' into a feature film. LaBelle, 22, broke out as a young Steven Spielberg in the director's semi-autobiographical drama 'The Fabelmans.' He then proceeded to play another Hollywood heavyweight, 'Saturday Night Live' creator Lorne Michaels, in director Jason Reitman's 'Saturday Night.' Millie Bobby Brown is all set to star opposite The Fabelmans actor Gabriel LaBelle in a new romantic comedy titled Just Picture It, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The rom-com, directed by Lee Toland Krieger, will stream on Netflix. The movie follows two carefree college students whose phones suddenly start showing them pictures from the future. In the photos, they are happily married with children, despite the fact that they haven't even met yet. The script is written by Jesse Lasky, marking his first feature film. He has previously worked on popular shows like Revenge and Code Black. Just Picture It will be produced by Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum. Millie Bobby Brown is also producing the film through her production company, PCMA Productions, along with Robert Brown. Netflix has officially announced its newest movie with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. This marks the streamer's latest film collaboration with Brown, after working together in the Enola Holmes franchise, 2024's dark fantasy movie Damsel, and the recently released sci-fi action movie The Electric State. Brown will be playing the lead role in Netflix's upcoming Just Picture It movie. This will also mark the British actress' first venture into the romantic comedy genre. She will also be joined by Gabriel LaBelle, who is best known for his acclaimed performances in Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans movie, and Jason Reitman's biopic comedy Saturday Night.
