Would you charter a private helicopter to Aberdeen's Scottish Cup Final at Hampden?
With Aberdeen's Scottish Cup Final tickets completely sold out – trains, buses and roads to Glasgow are set to be pushed to the limit on May 24. Facing the stress of getting to Hampden Park, it might push some Dons fans to get creative in their travel plans to Scotland's spiritual home of football. And with packed trains and gridlocked roads all expected – it might make some football fans wish they could fly to the all-important cup clash with Celtic. But, can you? That's where PDG Aviation Services come in – offering Dons fans the chance to be taken to their cup final seat in style. They offer commercial flights from Aberdeen Airport to Glasgow 365 days a year – including on the day of the match. They are no strangers to sport either, being previously called in for 'Super Saturday' in 2018. On that day, they were tasked with delivering the Scottish League One trophy to winners Ayr United at short notice following a final day decider with Raith Rovers. They have also been involved with the PGA to assist in the Ryder Cup and with various horse racing events in Scotland. But, is it really a viable option for Aberdeen fans in a hurry to get to Glasgow? We asked PDG sales manager Duncan McDonald, 57, everything about the alternative mode of travel for the big day. We were told that fans could be lifted to the game in an Airbus B-BYZA. The helicopter can carry up to eight passengers, and can take off from the majority of helipads in the country. With the helicopter unable to land at or in the vicinity of Hampden, passengers will be dropped at the nearest heliport. The nearest port is in Govan, with the second nearest being at Glasgow Airport in Paisley. We asked how much it would cost to take three friends to the final on the day of the match. PDG estimates quoted us £7,500 in total to take us down to the game. Duncan said the price would vary depending on where people were taking off from, where they were landing and how many passengers there were. No Dons fans have yet taken up the option to fly to the match, although 'there is still time.' Fans of the club have flown to previous finals as well as to golf and racing events. Meanwhile, 1990 Scottish Cup hero Hans Gillhaus has revealed why he missed his Reds Hall of Fame induction in January. The Press and Journal has revealed plans for the Dutch icon to get up on stage alongside cup-winning skipper Alex McLeish, as well as ex-strike partner Charlie Nicholas, goalkeeping compatriot Theo Snelders and winning penalty scorer Brian Irvine next Thursday.

Princeton Digital seals Rs 125 cr annual lease deal in Navi Mumbai's Airoli
Singapore-based Princeton Digital Group (PDG), Asia's leading data centre provider, has taken on lease over 1 million sq. ft. of space across three buildings in the Airoli Knowledge Park, Navi Mumbai—marking a major expansion of its digital infrastructure footprint in India. The properties, owned and sub-leased by Gigaplex Estate Pvt Ltd, will be used by Princeton Digital Group (PDG) to set up large-scale data center operations. The transaction spans three buildings—9A, 7, and 11—located on Plot No. IT-5, with a combined chargeable area of 10,58,568 sq. ft, according to property documents accesed by CRE Matrix, a real estate analytics firm. Lease details: Effective Rent Rate: Rs 98.50 per sq. ft. across all buildings Lease Period: 20 years for Buildings 9A & 7, and 40 years for Building 11 Lock-In Period: 15 years Annual Rent Escalation: 4% for the first 15 years, increasing to 5% thereafter In addition to the base rent, parking charges of Rs 5,000 per car per month and complex maintenance charges of ₹2 per sq. ft. (with 5% annual escalation) will apply, further elevating the value of the deal. With a total starting monthly rent of ₹10.42 crore, the first-year rent alone amounts to ₹125.04 crore, excluding other costs such as maintenance and parking. Given the 15-year lock-in and 20–40 year lease durations, the long-term financial commitment exceeds several thousand crores. This reflects Princeton Digital Group's confidence in India's digital growth trajectory and its intent to build out a large-scale hyperscale data center hub in Navi Mumbai. Last year, Princeton Digital Group unveiled a major growth plan for India by expanding capacity to a total of 230 MW in the country, driving an investment programme of $1 billion. This is part of PDG's new $5-billion investment programme for AI-ready data centres in Asia. In September 2024, Princeton Digital Group entered into a strategic partnership with K Raheja Corp-backed Mindspace Business Parks REIT to develop the formers' largest data center campus in India, at Mindspace Airoli West. Navi Mumbai has emerged as a leading hub for cloud infrastructure, driven by its strategic location near submarine cable landing stations, stable power supply with zero outage, availability of renewable energy, and robust infrastructure. Mumbai has emerged as one of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region's most competitive data centre leasing markets, driven by AWS-led colocation growth. The city's data centre ecosystem is being transformed by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is significantly scaling through large-scale colocation leases rather than self-builds, accelerating Mumbai's emergence as a regional data centre powerhouse, said the latest Knight Frank report titled 'Global Data Centres Report'.

Princeton Digital Leases 1 million sq ft in Airoli Knowledge Park near Mumbai for ₹10.42 crore monthly rent
Princeton Digital Group (India) Management Pvt Ltd has leased 1 million sq ft of space in three buildings of Airoli Knowledge Park near Mumbai for a monthly rent of ₹10.42 crore from Gigaplex Estate Pvt Ltd- an arm of Mindapce Business Park REIT, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix. Property registration documents show that Princeton Digital Group, a global firm in data centre operations, has leased part of the space for 20 years and the balance for 40 years, with a 15-year lock-in period. The property registration documents contain a 4% rent escalation annually clause for the first 15 years and later a 5% annual escalation for the balance of the lease. According to the property registration documents, the overall space has been leased along with 81 car parking spaces. The one million sq ft of space has been leased in three parts. The first agreement mentions leasing 3.15 lakh sq ft for a monthly rent of ₹3.10 crore, documents show. The second agreement mentions leasing of 2.52 lakh sq ft of space for a total of ₹2.48 crore, and the third agreement mentions leasing of 4.91 lakh sq ft for ₹4.83 lakh sq ft. Under this new agreement, Mindspace REIT will develop three built-to-suit data centres, adding one million sq ft to its portfolio. The company said the REIT has already developed two data centres for PDG, measuring 0.63 million sq ft. Upon completion, the Business Park will feature five data centre buildings, and the total data centre footprint within the Mindspace REIT portfolio will stand at 1.65 million sq ft. According to the property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix, US-headquartered data centre firm Equinix India Pvt Ltd purchased 5,597 sq m (1.38 acres) of land in Mumbai's Chandivali area for ₹155 crore in November 2024.
