The Wales under-21 cap was named in the PFA Premiership Team of the Year after a brilliant season at Dens Park. Beck had two stints with Dundee that season, either side of a brief return to Liverpool amid an injury crisis at Anfield. Prior to making his return to the Dee, Beck was handed his English Premier League debut by Jurgen Klopp. Advertisement Beck's form in Scotland saw him linked with a move to Celtic, both in the January prior to returning to Dundee and again in the summer last year. Nothing would materialise and Beck ended up spending last season on loan at Blackburn, where he once again impressed. This summer, Beck was linked with a move to Rangers. However, SunSport understood when those links first emerged that it was a deal that was always unlikely to happen. Advertisement Now, he's closing in on a move elsewhere. Daizen Maeda battles 2 Celtic team mates and Dundee star for Player of the Year prize

Flying Daizen Maeda has unsurprisingly been named on a four-man shortlist in the battle to be crowned PFA Premiership Player of the Year. And the Celtic hitman has been joined by two of his Parkhead teammates as well as Dundee striker Simon Murray for the prize that will be handed out at a glitzy awards bash in Glasgow on Sunday, May 4. In-form Maeda looks the odds on favourite for the award having raced away from Nicolas Kuhn on the scoring charts despite the German's fast start. Both have been named on the final four-player shortlist however with captain Callum McGregor also unsurprisingly in the running. The only player outwith the champions to make the cut is veteran Dundee front man Murray who has 15 goals in 31 appearances to his name so far. But it's a shortlist dominated by the runaway Premiership winners. Maeda and Kuhn have 26 goals in the league between them while McGregor has added a goalscoring streak to his game with eight. Meanwhile Celtic title-winner Arne Engels could end the season with a quadruple of prizes after being nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year. The £11million Hoops man will battle it out with Rangers rival Hamza Igamane and rising Scotland starlets Lennon Miller and James Wilson for the prestigious award. Engels - the Parkhead club's record signing - missed out on a place in the PFA Premiership Team of the Year. The Belgian international has marked his debut season in Glasgow with ten goals and 12 assists so far. And with the League Cup and title already in the trophy cabinet, he could end campaign with a Treble as Celts face Aberdeen in next month's Scottish Cup Final. Across the city, Moroccan striker Igamane has proved a bargain £1.7m signing from AS FAR, with 18 goal contributions including a stunning Old Firm winner at Celtic Park. His impressive form has already caught the attention of clubs across Europe, with Sevilla and Everton among his admirers. Motherwell sensation Lennon Miller is another hot prospect who has been tipped for a big-money move as he enters the final year of his Fir Park contract. The 18-year-old midfielder has been the subject of interest from Celtic, while Borussia Dortmund are also keeping tabs on his progress. Miller earned a call-up to Steve Clarke's national team alongside fellow teen James Wilson, who has burst onto the scene at Tynecastle. Wilson, 18, recently penned a new deal with the Jambos, keeping him at the club until at least 2027.
