'The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. Clarkson is hopeful that the vocal issues are only temporary, as she's already aiming to open the residency next weekend. 'I can't wait to be back next weekend and show y'all what we've been working on,' she added. Clarkson is no stranger to Vegas, having previously held a residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. That show ran from 2023 to 2024. The singer has not gone on a proper tour since 2019, which was in support of her 2017 album Meaning of Life. 'We're bringing the studio to the stage this time with 'Studio Sessions,'' Clarkson previously said of the residency when it was announced back in February. The residency is slated to run through August 16, with encore dates scheduled for November; it's unclear when the postponed dates will be rescheduled. Kelly Clarkson ‘devastated' over postponing opening of her Vegas residency
Kelly Clarkson was 'devastated' to postpone the opening of her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, The 43-year-old Grammy winner had been set to kick off her Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on 4 July, with 18 shows scheduled through to 15 November. But just hours before taking the stage on Independence Day, Kelly announced she would postpone the opening two performances. A source has now told People the decision came after intense rehearsals left her with vocal strain that threatened long-term damage. The insider said: 'She was devastated and felt terrible for fans that had travelled to see her. 'She didn't want to cancel any shows. She's been very excited about the Las Vegas residency and connecting with her fans.' The source added Kelly's apparent vocal issues came on suddenly following long days of preparation for the show. They said: 'Even as a seasoned singer, she pushes herself too hard. 'Vegas is very dry too, and it seemed this was an issue as well for the vocal health. She was pretty much forced to postpone to prevent long-term damage.' Kelly addressed fans directly in an Instagram post ahead of the first performance, writing: 'Prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I'm going to take this weekend and the week after to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.' She added: 'I want the shows to be perfect for y'all. The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.' Despite the last-minute postponement, Kelly is expected to begin her run on Friday 11 July. People's source added: 'She's ready to kick things off this weekend though.' The Studio Sessions residency marks Kelly's return to Las Vegas following sold-out performances at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in 2023 and 2024. She announced the new engagement in February, saying she was 'so excited' to be back. Outside of music, Kelly wrapped the sixth season of The Kelly Clarkson Show in June and confirmed season seven is slated to air this autumn.

Kelly Clarkson postpones her Las Vegas residency
Kelly Clarkson feels "devastated" after postponing the opening of her Las Vegas residency. The 43-year-old pop star was supposed to begin her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday (04.07.25), but Kelly was forced to postpone her plans amid concerns about her voice. The chart-topping star wrote on Instagram: "We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans. I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars. "The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y'all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. (sic)" Kelly is determined to begin her residency in the best fashion possible, and she's already looking forward to her first performance. Her post continued: "The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. "I can't wait to be back next weekend and show y'all what we've been working on. (sic)" Kelly's Las Vega residency was originally set to feature 18 performances between July 4 and November 15. The pop star previously performed a series of sold-out shows at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in 2023 and 2024. And earlier this year, Kelly revealed what fans could expect from her residency. She said on the Today show: "This is totally different for us, how we're doing it. "It's called Studio Sessions, and the reason for that is I feel like you don't get live anymore - maybe back in the '70s - but you really don't get live what you really feel in the studios. "There's no tracks at all of any instruments or anything. It's all live. It just feels amazing in the studio, so we wanted to bring that into the setting for everybody, so it's going to be really fun."

Now, the group have been forced to cancel another date as Meine's condition fails to improve, with the band again noting that their appearance at the Monsters of Rock festival in Bogotá, Colombia has now been axed. 'Klaus has still not recovered from the virus and respiratory infection that forced the recent Buenos Aires cancellation for Scorpions and is unfortunately still unable to sing,' a statement read. In both instances, the group noted their determination to 'make every effort to return' to Argentina and Colombia. The Scorpions launched their 60th anniversary tour in March, launching with a series of dates in Mexico before appearing in Brazil and Chile. Initially, the shows were scheduled to launch in February with a Las Vegas residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood. However, these dates were postponed due to drummer Mikkey Dee's ongoing recovery process following a diagnosis of sepsis. 'We regret to inform you that due to Mikkey Dee's ongoing recovery from his recent hospitalization, we have made the decision to postpone our Coming Home to Las Vegas Residency to August 2025,' Scorpions wrote at the time. 'The health and well-being of our brother is of the utmost importance. We wish Mikkey a full and speedy recovery and look forward to rocking with you all again soon!' Currently, Scorpions are scheduled to resume their tour with a Ecuador show on May 3, with shows in Mexico to follow days later. A series of European dates throughout June and July will precede their U.S. return in August, where they will perform their postponed Las Vegas residency.
