Phoenix Suns Have Devin Booker Trade Verdict Amid Kevin Durant Drama

This past season was one that Phoenix Suns fans will never forget, for all of the wrong reasons. They missed out on even a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament a year after being swept out of the playoffs in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Advertisement It looked as though the Suns were ready to make one last push toward one of those play-in spots, but an injury to Durant's ankle put any hopes of that to rest. According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, while the Suns will likely continue to shop Durant, they're unlikely to move Devin Booker when he appeared on the PHNX Suns Podcast. "I think teams still look at Devin Booker not being available,' Stein said. 'I think the Suns and Devin Booker have both made it pretty clear they want to carry on together. So, I think—now, look—will a team or two or three test that resolve? Probably. I mean, teams love to make those calls even after the Suns might say [no]…. Gregory has a close relationship with owner Mat Ishbia. Gregory was an assistant coach at Michigan State during the 2000 National Championship with Ishbia. Durant would be the best way to recoup assets they sent out to acquire him and Bradley Beal over the past few seasons. Kevin Durant Ruthlessly Clowns 'Astrologer' for Suns Conspiracy Theory

The Phoenix Suns are a complete mess today, but it wasn't too long ago that they were one of the best teams in the NBA. The Suns made it all the way to the NBA Finals in 2021, where they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, and then had the best record in the league at 64-18 in the 2021-22 campaign. The Suns surprisingly lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the Conference Semifinals in 2022, and it's pretty much been all downhill since. That's despite the team acquiring Kevin Durant in 2023. Advertisement Durant's arrival was meant to get the Suns across the finish line, but they haven't even come close. Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant watches on against the Los Angeles Lakers at Lee-Imagn Images The Suns lost in the Conference Semifinals in 2023 to the Denver Nuggets and were then swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round in 2024. As if that wasn't bad enough, they would fail to even make the playoffs in 2025, finishing 11th in the West with a 36-46 record. The Suns' recent struggles, despite having some big names on the roster like Durant and Devin Booker, have been a bit perplexing. This team should not have been this bad, and "The Zodiac GM" was brought on to the "PHNX Suns Podcast" to explain what has gone wrong using zodiac signs. This individual pointed out that a Libra like Durant is an opposite element from a Scorpio like Booker and a Taurus like Chris Paul. They added that the Suns' previous starting five of Paul, Booker, Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder and Deandre Ayton was compatible and that contributed to their success. He roasted the astrologer and also the podcast host, Erik Ruby, for believing what was being said. "We got an astrologer tellin this man about our locker room, and even crazier, this man is believing it. What a clown." "The Zodiac GM" responded to Durant by claiming that it would be ideal for him to team up with players like Anthony Edwards and Alperen Sengun. The 36-year-old has been linked with the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets, so he could end up playing with one of these two next season.
