PKAYS golf charity caps another successful fundraiser

KOTA KINABALU (June 3): A recent golf charity by Pertubuhan Jaringan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Sabah (PJKAYS) capped another successful fundraising event which is into its fifth series this year. Mayor of Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK), Dato' Sri Dr Hj Sabin Samintah, did the honours by teeing off the first ball to launch the tournament at Sutera Harbour Marina Golf Club here. He was among some 80 golfers who decided to spend their Saturdays golfing and raising much-needed funds for PJKAYS' welfare and motivational programs for orphans and disadvantaged children. PJKAYS President Datuk Eddie Abdullah in his remarks at the prize-giving ceremony thanked all the generous sponsors, donors and companies which bought flights to join this PJKAYS Golf Amal 2025 series. Eddie also expressed his deep appreciation to relentless efforts of the PJKAYS Golf coordinators Kol Herman Bombang and Ir. Chan Ling Ket as well as the rest of the organising committee in making this year's event another one that all could be proud of despite the arduous challenges in the beginning. The main golf winners in their respective categories are as follows: VIP: 1. Datuk Thomas Logijin, 2. Datuk Hajam Lajah Ajam, 3. Datuk Hj Salsidu Ibrahim, 4. Datuk George Bandusena, 5. Dato' Sri Dr Hj Sabin Samitah; Medal A: 1. ACP Kasim Muda, 2. Tuanku Sharif; 3. Jaafar Malibas, 4. Mohd Helmi Hafifudin, 5. Larry Tukah; Medal B: 1. Maspol, 2. Ahmad Azuwaniza bin Mohd Ariffin, 3. William Ho, 4. Ishak Janta, 5. Abdul Razak Bahram; Medal C: 1. Jimon Jahim, 2. Affendi, 3. Jasni Yusof, 4. Tn Safwan, 5. Muhammad Zaid; Ladies: 1. Intan Aziz, 2. Clare Lydia M.A. Kunju, 3. Dr Dionysia Kibat. There were also novelty prizes, lucky draws and one grand lucky draw prize to round up the occasion.
