PLUS: Night closures at Serdang lay-by for 5 days from Aug 11

PETALING JAYA: PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) will conduct concrete pavement maintenance works at the Serdang Lay-by (southbound) from Aug 11 to 15, with temporary closures during night-time hours. It will be closed from 10pm to 5am. The entry lane, food stalls, and restroom facilities will be temporarily shut to facilitate the works. However, the lay-by will be open to the public from 5am to 10pm, when no upgrading work will be carried out for user convenience. Highway users are advised to plan their journeys using the PLUS App for the latest traffic information. They should also adhere to all traffic signs and instructions from PLUS personnel in the affected area. For further information, users can also get traffic updates through the PUTRI virtual assistant, the X@plustrafik app, and electronic signboards at selected locations, or contact PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 for emergencies.

The work will cover KM 25.4 to KM 25.7, between Jalan Duta and Bukit Lanjan, and last for two days. PLUS Malaysia Berhad stated that a third-party contractor will handle the installation in both directions. Work hours are set from 11 pm to 5 am to minimise disruption. PLUS assured highway users that traffic delays will be minimal during the installation. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys and follow traffic signs and PLUS personnel instructions. KUALA LUMPUR: A temporary road diversion will be activated in stages tonight between the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza and the UPM Interchange at Km309.7 (both directions) to facilitate gantry installation works. In a statement, Plus Malaysia Bhd (Plus) said the works will take place from 12.01am to 5am. During this period, southbound traffic from Sungai Besi Toll heading to UPM, Kajang or Bangi will be diverted to the BHP petrol station route after entering the toll plaza. "Northbound traffic from Bangi or Kajang heading to Kuala Lumpur or Sungai Besi will be diverted at the UPM Toll Plaza and redirected to the Sungai Besi Expressway (Besraya) as an alternative route," read the statement. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys and follow traffic signs and instructions from Plus personnel on site. SERDANG: The Serdang Rest and Service Area (R&R) southbound at KM308.20 of the North-South Expressway will be closed in phases to heavy vehicles for 25 days starting today. The closure is to facilitate concrete resurfacing works, as announced by PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS). The heavy vehicle access route will be shut in stages from 8 am today until midnight on July 31, 2025. PLUS stated that this is part of upgrading efforts to enhance comfort for highway users. Heavy vehicle drivers are advised to use the nearest available parking facilities as alternatives during the maintenance period. Class 1 vehicles and other R&R facilities will remain operational as usual. Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys using the PLUS App for real-time traffic updates. KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) will activate the tidal flow lane along the Kota Damansara-Damansara stretch (from KM18.90 to KM18.40) of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) from 10 pm today until noon tomorrow. In a statement today, the expressway concessionaire said the temporary traffic arrangement is necessary to facilitate pavement improvement works on the emergency and left lanes at KM18.63 as part of the continuous effort to provide a more comfortable experience for highway users. Therefore, it advised highway users to plan their journeys using the PLUS App to obtain the latest traffic information.
