Kendriya Vidyalaya students celebrate Raksha Bandhan with soldiers
A batch of 25 girl students of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya -2 in the Military Cantonment area celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Agniveers, soldiers and officers at the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre in Belagavi on Friday. The students, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude and respect towards the brave soldiers and Agniveers of the Indian Army for their service to the nation. The students tied handcrafted rakhis on the wrists of soldiers, offered sweets and conveyed their love and admiration for the armed forces. The atmosphere was filled with emotion and patriotism as slogans like Vande Mataram and Jai Hind echoed through the regiment's premises. School principal Mahendra Kalra said that this initiative was meant to instill a sense of respect, discipline and patriotism in students, while also connecting them emotionally with the protectors of the nation. 'Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival of siblings but also a symbol of emotional bonding with those who protect us selflessly,' he remarked. The officers of the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre appreciated the thoughtful gesture by the school students, stating that such interactions boost the morale of the troops, especially those far from their families. The Agniveers expressed that receiving rakhis from the children makes them feel valued and emotionally supported in their service to the nation. 138 students from 34 schools across India debate at moot court in Kolkata
Kolkata: As many as 138 students from 34 schools across the country participated in the fourth edition of inter-school moot court in Kolkata on Friday. The students got a platform to hone their legal skills at a simulated court proceeding of a hypothetical case on public recruitment notification that debarred applicants who had an open school degree. The mock case involved a professor who was suspended for protesting against the notice. Students like Grusha Mukherjee of DPS, Ruby Park, and Saptak Sinha of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ballygunge had prepared for weeks. It was an enriching experience for them. Standard 9 student injured as ceiling plaster collapses inside government school classroom
Noida: Plaster from a section of the ceiling fell on students at a classroom at the PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Sector 24 on Friday last week. At the time, around 40 Class 9 students were attending computer class in the room, one of whom received minor injuries when the debris struck him. "The teacher provided first aid to that child. After that, his parents were informed and they picked up the student from school," said Khemendra Tondwal, the principal of the school.
