Female rider taking 2 kids to enrollment dies in Maguindanao del Sur bus crash
A female motorcycle rider died and her two children were hurt after they were hit by a bus in Pandag, Maguindanao del Sur.
According to the report of GMA Regional TV's Efren Mamac in 'Saksi' on Thursday, the woman slipped underneath the bus while her two children ages, 10 and 11, were thrown by the crash.
Police said the victims were on their way to the town of Buluan for school enrollment.
'The bus driver avoided a bumpy portion of the cement road while the motorcycle was in front of him. He blew his horn but hit the rear of the motorcycle. This caused the female rider to fall down and she slipped underneath the front tire of the bus,' said PSSGT. Rizalde Sumensil, Pandag Municipal Police Station duty investigator.
The two children sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, GMA Regional TV is seeking a comment from the bus driver who is now under police custody. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
