IED found in Jharkhand forest

Chaibasa, Aug 10 (PTI) An IED was found in a forest in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district on Sunday, police said.
The IED, weighing 5 kg, is suspected to have been planted by Maoists to target security forces, they said.
The IED was found in the Saranda forest in the Jaraikela police station area, they added.
It was defused by the bomb disposal squad on the spot, Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat said. PTI BS SOM
