MILAN FUTURO AT THE TROFEO DELL'ARMONIA IN SOLOMEO
A lot of football and fair play characterised the second edition of the "Trofeo dell'Armonia Sportiva" which was held on 27 May in Solomeo. Milan Futuro took part in the three-way tournament alongside Atalanta U23 and Juventus Next Gen, competing in games of 45 minutes in length. The Rossoneri beat Juve on pens in the first game, thanks to Lapo Nava's great saves, getting the better of his opponents. Oddo's boys' second match ended 0-0, with the 2008-born Pittarella taking centre stage when he saved a late Atalanta penalty just before the final whistle. The final standings ended with Atalanta winning the trophy thanks to their 2-1 win over the Bianconeri: Milan Futuro were then in second and Juventus Next Gen finished last. Advertisement In the stands of the Federal Training Centre in Solomeo, Coricano "Don Alberto Seri", were many young athletes and their families bearing witness to the sporting values on show. The 28 May is a special date in the history of the Rossoneri. On 28 May 1969, in Amsterdam, AC Milan won their second Champions Cup; on 28 May 2003, in Manchester, we won the Champions League against Juventus. Indeed, Manchester was Kyle Walker's home for many years, and on 28 May he will celebrate his 35th birthday. The English defender, who came to Milan in January, was born on 28 May 1990, just a few days after our Champions Cup in Vienna against Benfica (23 May), decided by Rijkaard's goal. An important weekend for the Rossoneri's Youth Sector. Coach Guidi's Primavera face Sassuolo in the Quarter Finals at Viola Park on Saturday at 18:00 CEST in a straight shootout.
