QSO: The Royal Organist
For over two decades, James O'Donnell was the principal organist at Westminster Abbey in London, which gave him the title of the Royal Organist.
He performed and directed the choir at many religious services in the 1000 year old church in his time as the Royal Organist, and also presided over the music at official Royal occasions, with his final one being the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
In this concert, James O'Donnell joins the Spanish conductor Pablo Gonzales to perform music by the Belgian composer Joseph Jongen as well as the powerful Organ Symphony by Saint-Saens.
