Padel Hunt tournament brings fierce competition and celebration to Dundee

The Dundee July celebrations may have ended, but the excitement continued with the Padel Pit's Padel Hunt competition, which drew 24 teams from across the region. Players from Dundee, Ladysmith, Middelburg, Bethlehem, Piet Retief, Newcastle and Pietermaritzburg went head-to-head in thrilling matches, showcasing both skill and determination. Emerging victorious were brothers Ahmed and Yusuf Ayob from Piet Retief, who claimed the R5 000 cash prize. Runners-up Bilal and Safi enjoyed a luxurious night's stay at Bella's Rest Guest House, kindly sponsored by local supporters. Third place went to Waseem and Dian from Lesotho, while Angamia and Raeez from Harrismith secured fourth place, receiving an Orange Grove hamper and R2 000 credit on the Playtomic app. The title of Pop Out King went to Bilal Cassim, whose outstanding 'pop outs' won over the crowd. Padel Pit management, led by Zaid Desai, Bilal Rasool and Hamzah Ebrahim, expressed gratitude to all sponsors – including Kallies, Bas Padel, Imi Vawda, Bella's Rest Guest House, Rubeena Jadwat, Precision Upholstery, Goodwill Fruiterers and Mojos Padel – for making the event possible. They also thanked the players for their passion and sportsmanship, saying the atmosphere made the tournament a memorable success. With the stage now set, fans can look forward to the next exciting Padel Pit event. HAVE YOUR SAY: Like our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter and Instagram or email us at [email protected].
