Selena Gomez sold her $3K diamond ring dedicated to Benny Blanco for just $12
Selena Gomez just gave fans a very rare deal. On Monday, the singer, 32, kicked off her '12 Days of Really Rare Stuff' campaign — sharing 12 'rare memories' with her fans as she counts down to the release of her and fiancé Benny Blanco's joint album 'I Said I Love You First.' First up, Gomez gave away a particularly sentimental piece: the Jacquie Aiche diamond 'B' ring which she posted on her Instagram Story back in December 2023 to confirm her and Blanco's romance. A rep for the brand told Page Six Style at the time that the design was totally custom and one-of-a-kind, featuring .44 carats of pavé diamonds and worth $3,250. However, Gomez sold the accessory for just $12 on her merch store website earlier this week. 'For the first day of #12DaysOfReallyRareStuff, which is also a countdown to I Said I Love You First, it felt fitting to choose something that is a symbol of the start of our relationship,' the 'Only Murders in the Building' star wrote on the listing. She then confirmed, 'This is the exact, real ring that I posted to my Instagram story in December 2023.' For day two of Gomez's giveaway, the star gave fans the chance to win a signed Coach Selena Grace Bag ($395) — which the star designed — for free, with the winner being announced via email at 6pm P.T. on Tuesday. In December 2024, the 'Wizards of Waverly Place' alum replaced her wrap-around ring with an engagement ring featuring a marquise center stone in a cathedral setting with an oversized brilliant-cut eternity band. Blanco popped the question after a year of dating Gomez, and the music producer, 36, had a specific image in his mind when designing the piece. 'I just tried not to f—k up,' Blanco said during a joint interview with Interview Magazine after Gomez stated, 'that's the diamond I've always dreamed of.' In fact, she's been dreaming of the design since writing her 2015 hit 'Good For You,' which includes the lyrics 'I'm on my marquise diamonds / I'm a marquise diamond.' Blanco recalled, 'She showed me designs and I would always throw little hints. I'd be like, 'Yeah, but if I ever made one, would you want it like this?'

Selena Gomez reveals how Benny Blanco designed her dream engagement ring but she almost changed it
In a joint interview with Interview Magazine, Selena Gomez, the 32-year-old Only Murders in the Building star, and her fiancé, 36-year-old record producer Benny Blanco, reminisced about choosing her engagement ring. Although Gomez had envisioned a marquise-style diamond ever since her 2015 song Good For You—which includes the lyrics, "I'm on my marquise diamonds / I'm a marquise diamond"—she admitted to having second thoughts about the design. "I just tried not to f—k up," Blanco joked during their conversation with editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg after Gomez stated, "That's the diamond I've always dreamed of." He elaborated, explaining how she had shown him different designs, and he would subtly drop hints. "I'd be like, 'Yeah, but if I ever made one, would you want it like this?'" Blanco also revealed that Gomez had a change of heart midway through the process. "It used to have huge baguettes on the side and then she was like, 'I don't want something that big,'" he recalled. Gomez responded, "I just think it's too much," but Blanco reassured her that "the end result is perfect." Because of the design changes, Blanco shared that the extra diamonds wouldn't go to waste. "Yeah, so now I have extra baguettes and we're going to make earrings for her. She basically has three wedding rings." After dating for a year, Blanco proposed on a set designed to resemble a romantic picnic in Central Park, complete with Taco Bell. Gomez later announced the engagement on Instagram, sharing a photo of her ring with the caption, "forever begins now.." Jeweler Claster revealed details about the creation process to Page Six Style, saying, "We started the project earlier this year. Benny, a wonderful creative himself, had specific inspiration, including the center cut, the marquise." "We worked closely with multiple approaches before our final ring," the jeweler added. "Benny had a very sharp idea of what he ultimately envisioned. We combined it with our Abril Barret sentiment to capture the essence of an heirloom piece with a modern hand." In addition to their engagement, the couple has collaborated on a surprise joint album, I Said I Love You First, and released the first single, Scared of Loving You, on Friday.
