MACC Arrests Retired, Two Senior Police Officers Over RM110,000 Bribe
KUANTAN, July 29 (Bernama) -- The Pahang Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested two senior police officers and a retired policeman for allegedly soliciting and receiving bribes totalling RM110,000 to protect drug and ketum distribution activities in the state.
According to a source, the three men, aged between 30s and 50s, were arrested around 8.30 pm yesterday when they turned up to give their statements at the MACC Temerloh branch office.
Initial investigations led to the arrest of four suspects, all believed to have colluded in the illegal activity from 2022 to 2024.
