Pakistan vs Bangladesh: Salman Ali Agha states Pakistan to play 'fearless, not careless' cricket
Pakistan's T20I captain Agha Salman has committed to a bold playing style ahead of the three-match series against Bangladesh, stressing a 'fearless, not careless' mindset as the national side builds toward the T20 World Cup. Addressing the media at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore ahead of the first T20I on Tuesday, Salman explained Pakistan's evolving approach in the shortest format. 'It's not just Islamabad United's style. All over the world, teams are adopting attacking cricket. We're doing the same—fearless, but not careless,' Salman said. He recognised Bangladesh as a skilled opponent and identified captain Litton Das as a key threat. 'Litton Das will be a prize wicket for us. We'll look to limit his scoring,' he noted. Pakistan has made eight changes to the squad that toured New Zealand earlier this year. Salman said the adjustments are aimed at building depth for the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka. 'Based on Sri Lankan conditions, we're forming a core group of 20 to 25 players. It gives us options if injuries happen and helps us find the best XI,' the 31-year-old added. Hasan Nawaz, Player of the Tournament in HBL PSL 10, is among the fresh faces. Salman explained Nawaz's role would remain in the middle order. 'He performed well there in the PSL, so there's no need for him to open.' Pakistan holds a dominant record over Bangladesh in T20Is, with 16 wins from 19 encounters. The remaining three-match series will also be played in Lahore, with fixtures scheduled for 30 May and 1 June. Pakistan squad for Bangladesh T20Is: Salman Ali Agha (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Wasim Jr, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan (wicket-keeper), Saim Ayub. Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I series schedule: 28 May – 1st T20I, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore 30 May – 2nd T20I, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore 1 June – 3rd T20I, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I series to be played without DRS technology: sources
The much-awaited Pakistan-Bangladesh T20 series, set to begin on May 28, will be played without the assistance of the Decision Review System (DRS), according to sources within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). As the first match of the series approaches, the absence of this crucial technology has raised eyebrows, especially following the conclusion of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), where DRS had been implemented. The absence of DRS for the upcoming three-match series has been attributed to the unavailability of the technical staff that typically operates the system. According to PCB sources, the team responsible for the technology has yet to return following the conclusion of the HBL PSL. As a result, the DRS system will not be available for use during the three T20 matches, scheduled to take place at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on May 28, May 30, and June 1. The Bangladesh team has already been informed of the decision, and the series will proceed without the system that has become a staple in modern international cricket. While the DRS absence may raise questions about its potential impact on the fairness of decisions, both teams are expected to adapt to the circumstances. Ahead of the series, the PCB also announced that a press conference with the team captains and the unveiling of the trophy will take place later today, as fans await the exciting clashes between the two nations.

England openers made brisk start against Zimbabwe
NOTTINGHAM: England openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett put together a dominant unbeaten partnership as the home side quickly moved to 130 runs without loss on the opening morning of the one-off Test against Zimbabwe on Thursday. At lunch, Duckett was 75 not out with Crawley unbeaten on 53 after 26 overs as England wasted little time imposing themselves on proceedings at a rate of five runs per over. Duckett was the first to reach his half century off 47 balls with nine boundaries and Crawley soon followed, taking 76 balls to reach his 50 at Trent Bridge. Crawley has been short of runs and potentially needs an imposing innings to solidify his place for the five-Test series against India that follows the four-day clash with Zimbabwe. Visiting captain Craig Ervine won the toss and put England into bat, hoping the cloudy and cold conditions would force an early breakthrough but Zimbabwe's seamers toiled without success on a placid wicket. Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I series to begin from May 28 While tall bowler Blessing Muzarabani asked questions of the England batters, Richard Ngarava had little impact and Tanaka Chivanga proved expensive while Victor Nyauchi came on after 20 overs with the openers well set. Zimbabwe's first Test in England in more than 20 years represents a rare opportunity for the southern Africans to test themselves as the hosts prepare for the series against India before the Ashes in Australia. England handed a debut to seamer Sam Cook as well as a return to the Test arena, after a two-year injury-enforced absence, for fellow fast bowler Josh Tongue.
