Ralph De Leon to Shuvee Etrata, AZ Martinez: 'I know the two of you are going places'
Ralph De Leon had some special words to say to AZ Martinez and Shuvee Etrata, his two ships from the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition." On his Instagram broadcast channel, Ralph posted photos of him with the two Sparkle stars during their performances this weekend. Ralph sang "Palagi" by TJ Monterde with Shuvee at the Acer Day 2025 on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena, while he sang "Tibok" by Earl Agustin with AZ at The Big ColLOVE fancon on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum. "Special shoutout to these two amazing ladies for putting up with me. Sobrang gagaling at gaganda n'yo pareho and I'm so honored to share the stage with the both of you," he said. "I know the two of you are going places na pinapangarap n'yo lang dati and sobrang proud na ako sa inyo ngayon pa lang. Appreciate y'all so much," he added. Ralph also thanked fans for supporting him as he gets used to performing on stage. "Little Ralph would've have never believed na magpe-perform siya on two of the biggest stages sa Pilipinas back to back. Pinaghandaan ka talaga lahat 'yun to give back and give you guys a good show kaya kung isip niyo bigay na bigay ako, ganun talaga," he said. "Alam ko 'di pa sobrang pulido pero first time 'yun na I felt confident with my singing and dancing so sana nag-enjoy kayo. Love you guys. Ibang energy nadala ng mga hiyaw n'yo pramis. Sa uulitin!" Ralph, together with his duo Will Ashley, finished as the second Big Placer of the PBB collab. Shuvee Etrata, Ralph De Leon make fans kilig with 'Palagi' duet in concert
Our "academic rivals" just made the whole Mall of Asia Arena kilig on Saturday! Shuvee Etrata and Ralph De Leon surprised concertgoers with a duet performance of "Palagi" at the Acer Day 2025. On Instagram, Sparkle posted a clip of the former "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" housemates singing on stage and melting hearts with their chemistry. Shuvee and Ralph are brand ambassadors of Acer along with the extended "Pamilya De Guzman"—Klarisse de Guzman, Mika Salamanca, Esnyr, Will Ashley, Brent Manalo, and Charlie Fleming. All of them performed at the concert and even did collab stages with P-Pop kings SB19. Shuvee and Ralph did not become duos inside Bahay ni Kuya, but their chemistry was first noticed by fans when they topped the first Big Intensity Challenge as the highest-ranking Kapuso and Kapamilya housemate. They were also both hailed as the most desirable duo among the Kapuso and Kapamilya housemates, with Ralph as the no. 1 in the overall ranking and Shuvee the no. 2. That led to fans dubbing them as RalphVee, one of the many fan ships formed in the PBB collab. In the Pamilya De Guzman fan-created lore, Shuvee is Klarisse's child and the twin of Esnyr. TJ Monterde looks back at rejections, reveals he almost quit music before his rise to success
Before achieving widespread recognition, TJ Monterde faced significant challenges, including numerous rejections and financial difficulties that one point led him to consider giving up on his music career. On Thursday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the OPM singer admitted experiencing rejections was painful. 'Marami pero—masakit siya, 'yung mga rejections siyempre,' he said, sharing he would often receive the usual "we'll get back to you" response. A particularly heartbreaking experience involved securing a September gig two months prior to the schedule. He remembered being very excited about the opportunity; he had no other work to look forward to at the time. 'Everyday, practice ako. Pagdating ng mga one week before, biglang hindi natuloy kasi may kinuhang bigger artist kesa sa 'kin. So [that's] one of the heartbreaks sa mga una na. Hindi ka puwedeng sobrang madaling ma-hurt,' TJ said. He also struggled financially, sharing he would take on side gigs to make ends meet. 'As much as I can, nagvo-voice overs ako sa commercials. 'Yun 'yung ginagawa ko. I do voice-overs for radio and TV commercials. Nag-ho-host ako ng events kung kaya ko,' he said. His dad would even check up on him and ask how he's doing. 'There was this time na wala na talaga kaming pera. As in, wala na,' TJ said, recalling a time when he asked his friend, Makoy, if he had enough money for just dinner, as his own money from his father wouldn't arrive until the next day. Makoy managed to scrape together just enough money to buy them buy-one-take-one burgers. 'Habang naglalakad kami papunta do'n sa circle, nakatingin ako sa daan hoping that I'd find like P10 or P20 na 'Lord sana may P10 ditong makita ako para man lang may pang-soft drinks kami,'' TJ said. This made TJ question his path, wondering if what he was doing with his life was right and if he should just return home. 'Pero wala eh. There's just—every time, lagi Niyang sinasabi sa 'kin na tuloy mo lang, may pupuntahan ka. There's always a small voice. I hear it,' he said. TJ released his first single, 'Ikaw at Ako,' in 2012 and the rest is history. Among his other hit songs are 'Dating Tayo' and 'Palagi' with his wife, KZ Tandingan. In February, he had a three-night concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
