41% of Kidney Failure Patients in Gaza die during aggression

Gaza – SABA: The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday that 41% of kidney failure patients have died during the ongoing Zionist aggression on Gaza, due to being denied access to dialysis centers and the destruction of facilities dedicated to their care. In a press statement, the ministry confirmed that Israeli forces demolished the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center in northern Gaza, which had been providing essential dialysis services to kidney patients. The ministry warned of the severe consequences of the center's destruction on the health of kidney patients, describing the situation as a 'disaster with unforeseeable outcomes.' It noted that the occupation forces are systematically working to eliminate hospitals and specialized care centers from northern Gaza. A report by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, issued on May 20, highlighted that 41% of kidney failure patients have died due to repeated displacement and the drastic reduction in dialysis hours from 12 to just 4 hours per week. The report further revealed that six out of the seven centers providing dialysis services in Gaza have been either completely destroyed or rendered inoperable—four in Gaza City and the northern governorates, and two in the central and southern areas. It added that 472 kidney failure patients—41% of the total 1,200 patients—have died since October 7, with the majority of deaths occurring in Gaza City and the north. The fatalities were primarily due to the destruction of dialysis centers and the patients' inability to attend their sessions regularly, which led to the deterioration of their health and ultimately their deaths. Report: Israel Slowly Killing Gaza's Cancer Patients Through Delays and Denial of Care

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights has accused Israel of systematically denying cancer patients in Gaza access to treatment, calling it a slow, deliberate act of genocide. In a new report titled 'The Deadly Wait,' the center highlights the devastating impact of Israel's destruction of Gaza's only cancer hospital—the Turkish Friendship Hospital—in March 2025. That attack, combined with strict travel restrictions, has left over 12,500 cancer patients without adequate care. More than 91% of patients have been barred from traveling outside the Strip for treatment. The result: hundreds have died over the past year and a half, and about 2,700 patients are now in critical condition with nowhere to turn. Medical supplies are also dangerously low—over 85% of essential cancer medications are unavailable. The report describes this as intentional neglect that inflicts deep physical and psychological harm. Only around 1,100 patients—mostly women and children—have managed to travel for treatment, highlighting what the center says is Israel's use of healthcare as a weapon of collective punishment. Patients are also being forced to live in overcrowded shelters and tents after repeated displacement. Many have given up on treatment entirely due to poor living conditions and lack of medical access. The report condemns Israel's 'sterile travel process,' which requires patients to get security approval to leave, without any guarantee they'll be allowed to return. This tactic, the center says, turns medical travel into a tool for forced displacement—something it calls a war crime under international law. The center is urging immediate international intervention to protect patients and hold Israel accountable for what it calls crimes against humanity. Shortlink for this post:

HR Center: Unemployment rates in Gaza exceeded 80% during War

Gaza - Saba: The Palestinian Center for Human Rights revealed on Thursday that Gaza workers have suffered for many years from the Israeli blockade, restrictions, and denial of their most basic rights. The center said in a press statement: "Before the war of extermination, data from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed that the unemployment rate in Gaza reached 45.1%, compared to 12.9% in the West Bank." It added: "It was noted that unemployment was spreading at an alarming rate among university degree holders and diploma holders." The center continued: "At that time, the unemployment rate among graduates aged 19–29 in Gaza reached 73%." He added, "Reports from the International Labor Organization and the Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS) during the months of the war indicate that unemployment rates in Gaza rose to more than 80% by the end of 2024." The center stated, "Four out of five individuals of working age were left without a source of income," explaining that "the overall unemployment rate in the West Bank after the war reached approximately 35%." It added, "The war destroyed approximately 90% of the housing, infrastructure, and industrial, commercial, agricultural, and service facilities in the Gaza Strip." The center noted that the enemy prevented workers from accessing agricultural lands and fishing at sea. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Death toll of Palestinians in Gaza due to Israeli war rises to 52,418

Israeli forces launched airstrikes on the Al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital in central of the Gaza city on April 12, 2025- the photo taken from Palestinians' journalists' telegram channels CAIRO – 1 May 2025: The Israeli genocidal war against the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip has killed 52,418 martyrs and injured 118,091 others since October 7, 2023, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza in a daily news briefing on Thursday. A total of 18 martyrs (including one recovered martyr) and 77 injuries were received in Gaza Strip hospitals over the past 24 hours, the report added. Meanwhile, a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense teams. The death toll and injuries since March 18, 2025 has reached 2,326 martyrs and 6,050 injuries. On March 18, Israel shattered a two-month ceasefire in Gaza brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the US, resuming one of the century's bloodiest conflicts. The Palestinian Center for Human Rights said on Thursday that the Israeli war destroyed approximately 90 percent of the Gaza Strip's housing and infrastructure, as well as industrial, commercial, agricultural, and service facilities. Also, the UNRWA announced on Thursday that about 660,000 children in the Gaza Strip are not receiving any schooling due to the war. Temporary education activities in the Gaza Strip have been severely affected by the resumption of Israeli shelling, the UN agency added. Recent Israeli displacement orders in the Gaza Strip have made it more difficult for children to access psychosocial and recreational support, the UNRWA stated.
