Civil Society Organizations: 130,000 Tons of Aid Blocked at Gaza's Borders
Gaza – Saba: Amjad al-Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGO Network, stated on Sunday that only flour supplies—with no other food items—have entered Gaza in recent days through the Kerem Shalom crossing in the south. In a press statement reported by Palestinian news agency Safa, al-Shawa revealed that over 130,000 tons of humanitarian relief materials remain stranded at Gaza's borders, blocked by Israeli occupation forces. Since March 2, no humanitarian aid had entered Gaza until a few dozen trucks were permitted in recent days. International officials and organizations have dismissed these limited shipments as "cosmetic measures" that fail to meet civilians' catastrophic needs. Israeli Airstrikes Kill Over 100 in Gaza as Hospitals Become Military Targets, Says Palestinian NGO Director
Ahmed Emam Amjad Shawa, Director of the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO), has condemned the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, stating that more than 100 people — mostly women and children — have been killed in the past 24 hours as airstrikes intensify across the besieged territory. Speaking in an interview with Alqahera News Channel, Shawa accused the Israeli military of deliberately targeting entire families and civilian homes without distinction. 'The occupation is systematically enforcing forced displacement,' he said, adding that Israeli forces now control between 79 and 80 percent of the Gaza Strip. 'Civilians have been pushed into less than 20 percent of the area. Northern Gaza has been entirely transformed into an uninhabitable evacuation zone.' Shawa also warned of an escalating humanitarian catastrophe as hospitals come under direct attack. He cited a recent strike on Al-Awda Hospital, where missile fire ignited fires in fuel and medicine storage facilities, hindering emergency response teams from reaching the site. He also referenced previous Israeli attacks on the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza. 'These strikes are not only war crimes; they are part of a broader strategy to forcibly evacuate civilians by dismantling the healthcare system,' Shawa said. 'Wounded individuals are left without treatment as hospitals are forced out of service, pushing Gaza's fragile health infrastructure to the brink of collapse.' He called the targeting of the health sector a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and urged the international community to act immediately. 'This is a historic responsibility,' he said, emphasizing the urgency of protecting civilians and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid. As the bombardment continues, humanitarian agencies warn that Gaza is facing a spiraling crisis with little room left for safe shelter, medicine, or medical care. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies

Palestinian NGOs Issue Urgent Appeal to Save Al-Awda Hospital in Northern Gaza
Gaza - (Saba): The Palestinian NGO Network has issued an urgent appeal to all international bodies, demanding immediate intervention to halt Israeli enemy forces' attacks on health facilities in the northern Gaza Strip and to allow civil defense crews access to Al-Awda Hospital in the Tel al-Zaatar area to extinguish the fire raging inside, a result of deliberate enemy shelling. The network confirmed in a statement on Thursday that Israeli forces directly targeted the hospital's medicine and fuel stores, causing a massive fire that is still raging. This fire, despite the imposed blockade and the prevention of firefighters from intervening, threatens to completely put the hospital out of service. It indicated that Israeli forces aim to repeat the scenario of disrupting health services in the northern Gaza Strip, as has happened with other hospitals. It warned that the fire spread to fuel and water tanks, causing significant damage to the hospital's facilities. The network stressed that enemy tanks are still surrounding the hospital, preventing staff and volunteers from attempting to extinguish the fire, despite the presence of 130 staff and volunteers, along with dozens of patients inside the hospital wards. The NGO Network called for immediate action from international and human rights organizations to protect the hospital, ensure the safety of staff and patients, provide safe passage for civil defense crews, and provide the necessary protection for the health sector in Gaza. Palestinian NGOs Reject Israeli Occupation Plan
Gaza - Saba: The Palestinian NGO Network and the Coordination Council of the Private Sector in the Gaza Strip affirmed their categorical rejection of the mechanism approved by the Israeli occupation for distributing humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. In a joint statement, the network indicated that the mechanism is based on the militarization of aid, bypassing United Nations agencies, Palestinian and international relief and humanitarian institutions, and the private sector, and emptying their legal, professional, and ethical roles of substance. Palestinian NGOs warn of dire humanitarian situation in Gaza Strip
Gaza – Saba: The Palestinian NGO Network on Thursday warned of the seriousness of the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, a month and a half after the closure of the crossings and the denial of humanitarian aid. In a statement reported by the Palestinian Safa News Agency, the network also warned of the spread of famine in the Gaza Strip, with rising cases of malnutrition, especially among children and women, in light of the lack of most types of food and essential supplements for children and the sick. The statement warned of the worsening health disaster due to the lack of clean water for drinking and daily use, the spread of sewage, and the accumulation of more than 600,000 tons of waste throughout the Strip, amidst the lack of cleaning materials and basic hygiene supplies. The network pointed to the severe deterioration of the health system as a result of direct targeting by the Zionist enemy and the depletion of medicines and medical supplies, including medications for chronic diseases, threatening the lives of thousands of wounded and sick people. It also noted the continued forced displacement of more than 90% of the Gaza Strip's population, and the evacuation of two-thirds of Gaza's territory, amid complex and extremely difficult humanitarian conditions, with basic shelter supplies such as tents, blankets, clothing, and other essential needs, especially for children and women. The network denounced the enemy's attempts to impose plans related to controlling humanitarian aid and its distribution mechanisms, including the militarization of aid, in flagrant violation of international conventions, treaties, and the principles of humanitarian action.
