'Sambarala Yetigattu' (SYG), starring Mega Supreme Hero Sai Durgha Tej, has completed 120 days of shooting, with approximately 75% of the film wrapped up. This gritty, emotionally charged Pan-India action drama continues to generate significant buzz, especially after the launch of its electrifying glimpse. Directed by debutant Rohith KP, 'Sambarala Yetigattu' is produced by K. Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy under the Primeshow Entertainment banner, following their blockbuster success with 'HanuMan'. Production banner, known for backing projects such as KGF franchise, Salaar and Kantara, shared the news on Wednesday on its official X handle. 'They call him the Greek God. He's ruled hearts, shattered limits and we see the phenomenon he truly is! We are proud to welcome @iHrithik to the @hombalefilms family for a collaboration, years in the making. Hrithik said he is looking forward to bring the cinematic experience for the audience. 'Hombale has been home to some very unique stories over the years. I'm looking forward to partner with them and deliver a cinematic experience for our audience. We are dreaming big, and committed to bringing the vision to life,' he said in a statement. Vijay Kiragandur, founder of Hombale Films said he is very happy with this collaboration. 'At Hombale Films, our purpose is to tell stories that inspire and transcend boundaries. The film is slated to release on August 14. It is a sequel to War, which released in 2019.

JioHotstar tops March OTT charts on mobile for films, series: Nielsen

JioHotstar, the new combined platform of Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema, had several of its titles among the top 10 most-watched over-the-top (OTT) content on mobile devices across movies, original series, and non-original series categories for the month of March, according to Nielsen. Pan-India action film Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, streaming on JioHotstar, led the top 10 chart for movies in March in India. It was followed by Dragon, a Tamil-language comedy-drama on Netflix, according to Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data, and analytics, in its report titled Mobile Audience Measurement for March 2025. These insights are based on mobile OTT viewing across six leading platforms—Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar, MX Player, Netflix, Sony LIV, and Zee5. 'Aashram on MX Player and Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar on JioHotstar led the original series chart,' the report stated. In this category as well, JioHotstar had six titles among the top 10 original series for March. In the non-original segment, JioHotstar ranked among the top three platforms with popular shows such as reality series MTV Roadies and Hindi television dramas Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In total, eight JioHotstar titles featured in the top 10 non-original content chart. 'Audiences also showed growing enthusiasm for global content, with international hits like Game of Thrones and Stranger Things continuing to attract Indian viewers. Notably, there was a visible rise in watch time for Korean (K) dramas—When Life Gives You Tangerines (on Netflix) being a standout example—highlighting the growing appetite for K-content in India,' the report said.

Emraan Hashmi hospitalised with dengue amid shooting for Pawan Kalyan's film OG

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has been hospitalised following a dengue diagnosis. He is on a break from the film shoot of his upcoming film, as per a report of Hindustan Times. It is believed that Emraan was filming for the Pan-India film, OG, starring Pawan Kalyan when he began feeling sick. Reportedly, the film shoot was taking place at Mumbai's Aarey Colony, Goregaon. He seemingly began experiencing symptoms and was later hospitalised, as per the source. Reportedly, he is now recovering from dengue. The actor's team is yet to confirm the claims. Meanwhile, OG is written and directed by Sujeeth. The upcoming Telugu film will star Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Mohan. The action thriller officially marks Emraan Hashmi's Telugu debut. He is said to play the role of Omi Bhau in the film. OG was officially announced in December 2022. The music of the film is handled by Thaman S, while Ravi K. Chandran is taking care of cinematography. The film is set for a worldwide release on 25 September 2025. Reportedly, the production team is hoping to resume the film shoot which has been impacted by Emraan's health. Meanwhile, Emraan was last seen in the film Ground Zero where he appeared as BSF Deputy Commandant Narendra Nath Dube. The film was released on 25 April and received average reviews. It clashed with established releases at the box office like Sunny Deol's Jaat and Akshay Kumar' Kesari 2 amid the tension between India and Pakistan. Besides OG, the actor has several films lined up in the pipeline. This includes yet another Telugu film, G2. The film by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi is the sequel to Goodachari. It will star Adivi Sesh reprising his role alongside others, including Wamiqa Gabbi and Madhu Shalini. He also has a yet-untitled film with Yami Gautam. Reportedly, it is inspired by the 1985 Shah Bano case, where Shah Bano's husband, Mohd. Ahmed Khan who refused to pay her maintenance after a triple talaq. In the film, Emraan will reportedly essay the role of Shah Bano's husband.
