Jared Leto gets accused of inappropriate behaviour by nine women, including underage girls; the actor's representatives firmly deny the allegations
Jared Leto , the 'Panic Room' star, has been accused of inappropriate behaviour of sexual misconduct by nine women, including some who were underage. The women claim that the 53-year-old has had a longstanding pattern of such demeanour. Jared Leto has been accused of engaging inappropriately with underage women... On June 6, 2025, Air Mail published a story about the nine women, along with the interviews, in which they claimed that Leto behaved inappropriately with them. The conversation started when a Los Angeles-based DJ, Allie Teilz, shared a 2012 Facebook post on her Instagram story. 'You're not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt.. And a snow hat. I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17,' she wrote on her story, according to The Independent. 'He knew my age and didn't care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable,' she wrote in another Instagram story. One of the women in the Air Mail interview claimed that Jared Leto's behaviour of texting teenage models has been 'an open secret for a long time.' Another woman in the interview stated that when she was 16, Leto asked for her number in 2006, and called her in the middle of the night, making sexual remarks. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? I said, 'I'm 16. How old are you?'" she expressed with Air Mail. Furthermore, Laura said that despite knowing her age, Jared asked for her number. Recalling the meeting in 2009, the model said she visited his house in Los Angeles, and he behaved inappropriately, which made her uncomfortable. Jared Leto denied the accusations... The representatives of Jared Leto have denied all the allegations, and further answered to Laura La Rue's accusations. 'Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate, and Ms. La Rue later applied to work as Mr. Leto's personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions,' the representatives claimed. However, the model denied the claims of applying to be Leto's personal assistant. Another confession against Jared Leto... Another anonymous woman made similar allegations of Leto texting her when she was underage. However, she stated that the interactions became intensely personal when she became 18. When she visited the 53-year-old's house, the actor started misbehaving, which certainly made her uncomfortable. According to her interview, Leto engaged in a self-sexual activity in front of her, and asked her to salivate his body part. Movie review: 'Locked' cleverly torments Bill Skarsgard
LOS ANGELES, March 19 (UPI) -- Movies set in a single location generate an inherent level of interest simply to see how a film can fill 90 minutes of time. Locked, in theaters Friday, compares favorably to films like Panic Room, Phone Booth and Buried. Based on the Argentine movie 4 x 4, Locked stars Bill Skarsgard as Eddie, a divorced father struggling to make ends meet. He needs $475 to repair his van so he can fulfill after school visitation with his daughter, Sarah (Ashley Cartwright). Eddie quickly exhausts pickpocketing, begging friends and lottery scratch tickets. He resorts to breaking into an SUV and is somehow locked inside. William (Anthony Hopkins) calls Eddie through the car's electronic system once he learns someone else is in his vehicle and opts to hold Eddie captive. The car, a fictional brand called Dolus, is a bit fancier than real-world cars to make this premise work. For example, not even Tesla Cybertrucks have bulletproof windows. The features make for a fun movie trap. The Dolus blocks Eddie's cell phone signal and has soundproof and tinted windows, cutting him off from anybody outside. William uses the custom features of the car to torment Eddie further, including tasers in the seats. By combining the temperature, sound system and injuries Eddie suffered while trying to escape, William is able to push and pull his captive in all directions. Eddie is not entirely passive, attempting to gain the advantage when William isn't surveilling him. As cathartic as the idea of punishing a car thief is, Locked necessarily has to address the extremity of William's methods and the resources devoted to them. That explanation proves a tad simplistic. The film also oversimplifies some of Eddie and William's debates about crime and wealth. There is a valid argument to be had about desperation driving people to commit criminal acts to survive, but that's not really where Locked goes. Eddie just recites familiar talking points about the system being rigged to let the 1% keep their wealth while the other 99% struggle paycheck to paycheck. He's not wrong, but it's not believable that someone that desperate has articulated the same arguments as political advocates. On a pure narrative level, however, Locked keeps the thriller moving. Hopkins does appear in the movie, too, so it's not an entirely voiceover performance. Overall, Locked is worth seeing to see Skarsgard and Hopkins -- two titans of horror from different generations -- face off. It's not Pennywise vs. Hannibal Lecter, but neither is it a boring 90 minute thriller. Fred Topel, who attended film school at Ithaca College, is a UPI entertainment writer based in Los Angeles. 11 Famous Roles That Were Recast ASAP Because The Original Star Was Fired, Quit, And Just Couldn't Do It Anymore
It might be hard to fathom, but some major roles in your most beloved movies and TV shows weren't always in the hands of the actors who made them famous. For a thousand different reasons, actors can find themselves taking over (and successfully making their own) a role initially attached to a different performer. So here are just 11 memorable times that come to mind: 1. Charlotte Le Bon: Chloe in The White Lotus In Season 3 of The White Lotus, Charlotte Le Bon stars as Greg (Jon Gries)'s girlfriend Chloe. She's an ex-model from Quebec. The role was initially set for Francesca Corney. No official reason was made for the recasting, though Deadline reported producers wanted an actor "who played older." 2. Julian Kostov: An unnamed (for now) Russian character in The White Lotus Though we haven't seen him pop up yet on The White Lotus, Julian Kostov is set to play a character only described so far as Russian. Miloš Biković was tapped initially for the character. However, Deadline reported the actor exited the series following "criticism from Ukraine" over his casting. 3. Vanessa Williams: Wilhelmina Slater in Ugly Betty As America Ferrera revealed on her Ugly Betty co-stars Michael Urie and Becki Newton's new rewatch podcast Still Ugly, Vanessa Williams was a last-minute replacement. She was brought in after another actor had completed two table reads but had been let go when filming began. In fact, Vanessa joined after they started shooting. The actor who previously played Wilhelmina wasn't named. 4. Jodie Foster: Meg Altman in Panic Room In Panic Room, Jodie Foster played a mom who hid herself and her daughter in their home's safe room. Nicole Kidman was cast but dropped out after a previous injury prevented her from filming intense action scenes. Nicole thanked Jodie in a 2024 Hollywood Reporter interview for taking over the role. "I was in a really bad way. I was like, 'I'm having a breakdown.' And Jodie took over, thank the Lord," Nicole said. The Tell Me Lies star is set to play Amanda Knox in an upcoming limited series at Hulu. She's replacing Margaret Qualley, who left the show last year due to scheduling conflicts. 6. Ben Whishaw: Paddington in Paddington It might be hard to think of anyone voicing the marmalade-loving Paddington beside Ben Whishaw. For a moment, though, the role was Colin Firth's for the taking. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the casting change occurred because they needed a "slightly more open, and younger, voice" for the talking bear. 7. Mark-Paul Gosselaar: Paul Johnson in Mixed-ish Mark-Paul Gosselaar starred as Bow Johnson's father in this prequel to Black-ish. Anders Holm originally played the role in the pilot, but Mark-Paul took over the role when the series received an entire Season 1 order. No reason was given for the recasting, though it's not unheard of for actors to be replaced after the pilot episode. 8. Vanessa Kirby: Empress Josephine in Napoleon Vanessa Kirby played Napoleon Bonaparte's first wife, Empress Josephine, in the 2023 biopic that starred Joaquin Phoenix as the French empower. Initially, the role went to Jodie Comer, who left the movie due to scheduling conflicts with her play Prime Facie. "I'm so happy for her and I wish her all the success with that movie," Jodie told the Hollywood Reporter. "A lot of this industry is sliding doors, and I do feel like I was always supposed to do that play. So I was happy with my decision." 9. Ana de Armas: Sadie Rhodes in Ghosted Ana de Armas starred alongside Chris Evans in the 2023 action rom-com Ghosted. Before she joined, Scarlett Johansson was initially set for the role, though no reason was given for her departure. 10. Salma Hayek: Maxandra Mendoza in Magic Mike's Last Dance Salma Hayek joined Channing Tatum's final ride with Magic Mike in the 2023 film Magic Mike's Last Dance. She did so in a role set for Thandiwe Newton. No reason was given for Thandiwe's departure from playing a socialite with her eye on Mike. 11. Finally, Giancarlo Esposito: A.B. Wynter in The Residence Giancarlo Esposito stars alongside Uzo Aduba in Shonda Rhimes's new series The Residence. The show is a whodunnit set in the White House during a state dinner, and Andre Braugher was initially cast in the role of the White House chief usher. Following Andre's death in 2023, Giancarlo replaced him in the role.
