Scarlett Johansson looked worlds away from her usual self as she debuted a brand new hairstyle while filming her new movie Paper Tiger in New York City on Thursday. The Oscar nominated star, 40, ditched her usual long blonde locks for a short curly wig as she filmed scenes in Queens. The star was seen on the doorstep of a house wearing an 80s-inspired look with a knitted blue collar top and smart brown trousers. Scarlett, who plays a mum in the film, appeared to be engaged in conversation with Adam Driver 's character. Just days before the actress was seen for the first time in character for the film. The movie star was shooting a scene outside a residential home in New York City where she looked distressed and near tears. The versatile stalwart was seen getting into a cherry red sedan with yellow New York license plate. Also with her was Miles, who likely plays her husband, and two boys. Deadline described the film as 'tense and gritty.' There is also plenty of 'betrayal' as a family is torn apart. The plot revolves around two brothers who try to make fast money. Instead they get 'entangled in a scheme that turns out to be too good to be true.' The film's synopsis reads: 'As they try to navigate their way through an ever-more dangerous world of corruption and violence, they find themselves and their family brutally terrorized by the Russian 'Mafiya.' 'Their bond begins to fray, and betrayal — once utterly unthinkable — now becomes all too possible.' Star Wars veteran Adam last worked with Scarlett in Marriage Story. The film will be produced by Rodrigo Teixeira under his RT Features banner and frequent collaborator Anthony Katagas under AK Productions alongside Raffaella Leone, Gary Farkas, Marco Perego, Carlo Salem, and Andrea Bucko. Executive producers include Lee Broda, Jeff Rice, Riccardo Maddalosso and Emily Salveson. Earlier this month, Scarlett passed passed her fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. as the highest-grossing lead actor ever. The actress accomplished this impressive feat over the 4th of July holiday weekend, with the monstrous debut of her new film Jurassic Park Rebirth. The seventh installment of the Jurassic Park franchise took in a whopping $147.3 million at the domestic box office since opening last Wednesday, and $318.3 million worldwide. Those figures bring Scarlett's worldwide total for leading roles up to $14.61 billion, just surpassing Jackson ($14.60 billion) and Downey Jr. ($14.3 billion), according to The Numbers. What's perhaps even more impressive than that is Scarlett managed to surpass her MCU peers in just 36 movies with leading roles. This is compared to Samuel's 71 films and Robert's 45 films, coming after recent comments about how she fought her way out of being cast in movies as a 'sex symbol.' The star-studded cast also includes Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, Ed Skrein and many more. The newest and latest franchise film was directed by Gareth Edwards.
