All lanes reopen on Gardiner Expressway following single-vehicle crash

Police said paramedics responded to the scene of the crash, which occurred at around 9:25 a.m. Lanes were closures in the area but reopened at around 11:30 a.m.

Emergency crews respond to single-vehicle crash on Gardiner Expressway

Police said paramedics are currently assessing injuries at the scene. Lane closures are in effect in the area and police are urging motorists to exercise caution when passing emergency vehicles.

Man struck by vehicle in North York suffers serious injuries

Toronto police say they received a call at 3:23 p.m. for a collision near Jane Street and Frith Road, north of Sheppard Avenue West. The man sustained serious, possibly life-threatening injuries, Toronto paramedics say. The driver of the vehicle, police say, remained at the scene.

14-year-old boy taken to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Scarborough
A Toronto Paramedic Services ambulance is seen in this undated photo. (Simon Sheehan/CP24) A 14-year-old boy has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough Saturday night. Toronto police say it happened at a plaza near Midland Avenue and Finch Avenue East just after 7:30 p.m. The boy was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was taken into custody.

Three canoers rescued at Rockwood Conservation Area
Emergency services rescued three people who were stranded Saturday on a small island at Rockwood Conservation Area. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police, the Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department, the Guelph Fire Department and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services were called to the conservation area at around 6:30 p.m. They were told three people needed rescue after their canoe capsized. All three people were wearing lifejackets and had climbed onto the small island. Police said they were stranded there for about an hour. The Guelph Fire Department used a boat to rescue the victims. One person was taken to hospital as a precaution while the other two were checked over by paramedics once they were back on shore.
