Pahalgam attack: NIA arrests two men for harbouring LeT terrorists
As per NIA investigation, both Parvaiz and Bashir had knowingly harboured the three armed terrorists at a seasonal dhok (hut) at Hill Park before the attack. 'The two men had provided food, shelter and logistical support to the terrorists, who had, on April 22 afternoon, selectively killed the tourists based on their religious identity, making it one of the most gruesome terrorist attacks ever. Both Parvaiz and Bashir have been arrested under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Further investigation in the case is going on," the NIA spokesperson added. On April 22, militants attacked tourists at Pahalgam's Baisaran meadows, which is also known as mini Switzerland. 25 tourists belonging to different states and a local pony wala Syed Adil Shah, who attempted to save tourists by snatching the rifle of one of the attackers, were killed in the terror attack. 16 people were also injured in the attack. The security forces suspect involvement of four militants, including three Pakistanis Hashim Musa alias Suleiman, Ali Bhai alias Talha Bhai, Asif Fauji and a local militant, Abid Hussain Thoker, a resident of Anantnag in the April 22 Pahalgam attack. Police has announced a bounty of Rs 20 lakh on the head of militants. The NIA has taken over the investigation of the case and NIA officials are camping in Pahalgam for investigations. The NIA chief Sadanand Vasant Date has also visited the attack site to review the pace of investigations. On May 7, the Indian military launched Operation Sindoor to target and destroy terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK to avenge the Pahalgam attack.

Delhi: Speeding Audi car hits bike in Bhogal area, 1-year-old girl injured
ANI 20 Jun 2025, 09:05 GMT+10 New Delhi [India], June 20 (ANI): A speeding Audi car hit a motorcycle in the Bhogal area of Delhi in the early hours of Thursday, leaving a family injured, including a 1-year-old girl who was admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre. According to Delhi Police, a PCR call was received around 3:20 AM at the Hazrat Nizamuddin Police Station, reporting that an Audi car had collided with a motorcycle near Bhogal Chowk. The injured were identified as Parvaiz aged 29 years old, a resident of Haji Colony in Jamia Nagar, his wife, and their 1-year-old daughter. The family were travelling across Bhogal Chowk when they were hit by an Audi car. All three were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre by the police van. Parvaiz and his wife received minor injuries and were discharged after treatment. Their daughter, who had also sustained minor injuries, was kept under observation for a while and later discharged. Police said the Audi car driver, identified as Rashit Kumar, 21, a resident of Old Rajinder Nagar, has been apprehended. A case under FIR No. 154/25 was registered at Hazrat Nizamuddin Police Station under sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The vehicle involved was found damaged at the scene. Further investigation on the incident is still underway. (ANI)

Speeding Audi hits family on bike in south Delhi, couple and infant daughter injured in accident
NEW DELHI: An Audi, allegedly rashly driven by a businessman, hit a couple and their one-year-old daughter, who were on a motorbike, near Hazrat Nizamuddin in the early hours of Thursday. The bike-borne family was injured. They were taken to AIIMS by police, treated and released. The businessman has been detained. On Thursday, police got a PCR call around 3.20am regarding a road accident near Hazrat Nizamuddin. The caller reported that a high-end car had collided with a motorcycle carrying three people. The investigating officer, who went to the location, found a severely damaged motorcycle on the road, indicating the force of the impact. A preliminary on-site inquiry has revealed that a family — a man, his wife, and their one-year-old daughter — were on the motorcycle when the accident took place. The man was identified as 29-year-old Parvaiz. The family resides in Jamia Nagar in south-east Delhi. According to the investigation, they were passing through Bhogal Chowk when the speeding car struck the two-wheeler. Based on the incident, a case was registered under Sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 125(a) (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of BNS. The investigation is on. "The victims and the driver were returning to their respective homes," a police source said. The impact was such that the family was thrown off the bike. Delhi: Toddler among three injured after Audi rams into motorcycle
A collision between an Audi and a motorcycle left a family of three, including an 18-month-old toddler, injured in Southeast Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin in the early hours of Thursday, the Delhi Police said, adding that the car driver has been apprehended. According to police, they received a PCR call at 3.20 am on Thursday that a family of three was injured after a black Audi rammed into their bike. When a police team reached the spot, the motorcycle was found in damaged condition. The family — Parvaiz, 29, his wife, 31, and their daughter — suffered minor injuries, police said. 'The family was taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre in a PCR van. Pravaiz and his wife were treated and discharged. Their daughter was kept under observation and was discharged during the day,' a police officer said. Photos from the spot showed that a portion of the footpath was damaged after the Audi rammed into it during the accident. The front side of the vehicle, including the bonnet, was completely wrecked due to the impact of the collision. Video footage from the night of the incident showed bystanders encircling the accused and asking him about the accident even as he pleaded that he was not drunk. The family, residents of the Haji Colony in Jamia Nagar, was going towards Bhogal Chowk when the car hit their bike from behind, police said. The accused, a 21-year-old resident of Old Rajinder Nagar, was handed over to the police by bystanders and is being questioned, police said. 'An FIR has been registered under sections 281 (rash and negligent driving), 125(a) (endangering human life and safety) of the BNS. Investigation has been taken up.
