Thalaivan Thalaivii OTT release: Vijay Sethupathi is gearing up for the release of Thalaivan Thalaivii, slated to hit the screens on July 25. Its trailer will be unveiled today (July 17). The romantic comedy has created a great deal of buzz among fans as it will see 'Makkal Selvan' act alongside versatile actress Nithya Menen. According to Tamil Samayam, Thalavan Thalaivii will premiere on Prime Video after its run in theatres.
The official release date is yet to be announced. However, one can expect it on the platform around August 25, four weeks after its release in theatres

Thalaivan Thalaivii is a romantic comedy drama directed by Pandiraj. The filmmaker is known for films such as Pasanga and Kadaikutty Singam. Like his previous films, this one too features a family-friendly storyline and relatable characters. It centres on the bittersweet relationship between two headstrong lovers.

Thalaivan Thalaivii stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. He is known for his performances in films such as 96 and Vikram. VJS is paired opposite Nithya Menen in the flick. She has starred in popular films such as Mersal and Mission Mangal and made a name for herself in the industry. Thalaivan Thalaivii also features Yogi Babu, Kaali Venkat, and RK Suresh. M Sukumar serves as the cinematographer. Pradeep E Ragav is the editor. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer. His best-known soundtracks include Kabali and Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD. Vivek has penned its lyrics.

Thalaivan Thalaivii comes at a time when Vijay Sethupathi is going through a busy phase on the work front. He was last seen in Ace, which underperformed at the box office. While addressing its failure, VJS said that the film was not publicised properly. It was directed by Arumuga Kumar and starred Rukmini Vasath as the leading lady.
It remains to be seen whether Thalaivan Thalaivii helps him score a much-needed hit. Vijay Sethupathi also has Train in his kitty. The Mysskin-directed thriller is expected to release in theatres this year.
