Telangana police awarded by MEA for outstanding passport verification performance; wins national recognition
HYDERABAD: The Telangana police was conferred with the prestigious Certificate of Recognition by the ministry of external affairs during the Passport Sewa Diwas celebrations and Passport Officers' Conference held in New Delhi.
Intelligence chief B Shivadhar Reddy received the award on behalf of the Telangana police from the union minister of state for external affairs, Pabitra Margherita.
Congratulating the force, Telangana DGP Dr Jitender lauded the efforts of all unit officers, particularly those in special branch units, for their dedication in upholding service standards and enhancing the reputation of Telangana police nationwide.

Telangana police was adjudged one of the best-performing forces in the country based on its outstanding passport application verification performance for the FY 2024-2025.
According to official data, Telangana police processed over 8 lakh passport applications and completed verifications well within the stipulated 15-day period, achieving an impressive average turnaround time of under seven days.
