View Exterior Photos of the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport
Read the full review The new fourth-generation Honda Passport arrives with a more rugged design and a host of desirable features. The TrailSport trims are enhanced with all-terrain tires, steel skid plates, and other unique hardware. Every Passport is bigger and boxier than before, but only the TrailSport has amber daytime running lights and orange front tow hooks. The Passport's all-wheel-drive system can route up to 70 percent of the engine's torque to the rear axle, with up to 100 percent of that torque directed to the rear wheel with traction. The TrailSport's exclusive equipment includes all-terrain tires and 18-inch wheels with a sunken valve stem and recessed rim to help protect it from damage. The Passport has a 285-hp 3.5-liter V-6 that pairs with a new 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The engine sounds better than a turbo four, and the automatic provided unobtrusive shifts. Thanks to its specially tuned suspension, the TrailSport feels nimble when crawling over off-road obstacles yet remains steady and easy to control on paved roads. The EPA estimates the entry-level Passport RTL at 21 mpg combined, but the TrailSport trims are heavier and have all-terrain tires that drop their combined fuel economy to 20 mpg. Along with roof rails and a bevy of driver assists, the Passport features a matte black section on its rear roof that prevents scratches when objects are leaned up against it. The 2026 Honda Passport lineup is currently on sale, with the entry-level RTL model starting at $46,200 and the top-of-the-line TrailSport Elite starting at $53,900.
