New neighbourhood programs aim to help areas under economic hardships
The Windsor-Essex region's Poverty Reduction Strategy 'Pathway to Potential' is launching The Neighbourhoods Program. The goal is to build stronger, more resilient communities in areas facing economic challenges. The program uses a connected community approach, putting residents at the center of change and supported by local organizations called 'neighbourhood leads.' Leads have been appointed in three priority areas: Ward 2, West Windsor, and downtown Windsor's east and west sides. Launch events are being planned in each neighbourhood, giving residents a chance to get involved and help shape the future of their communities.
