Chris Hemsworth's Die Hard-Like Submarine Action Movie Casts The Iron Claw Star
The cast has officially found a co-star to go alongside Chris Hemsworth, with THR reporting that the upcoming submarine action movie has added another big name.
Who has joined the Subversion cast?
THR's report notes that Lily James (The Iron Claw) has officially joined onto the cast of the movie. She'll star alongside Hemsworth as a Coast Guard officer who is chasing after a naval commander (Hemsworth) who has been blackmailed into carrying illegal cargo across international waters.
The movie will be directed by Patrick Vollrath (7500) for Amazon MGM Studios, with a script coming from Andrew Ferguson. The movie will see Hemsworth's working relationship with Amazon grow stronger. Hemsworth is also starring in the studios' upcoming film Crime 101. Other cast members for Subversion remain unknown as of now, with no other information available yet.
James starred in 2023's The Iron Claw and Finally Dawn, and is set to star in the upcoming thriller Relay. She's also currently filming a role in legendary horror director Takashi Miike's next movie, Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, which is set for release sometime in the future.
Vollrath is best known for his 2015 short film Everything Will Be Okay, which he followed up with 2019's 7500, which starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a pilot who's plane is hijacked, which marked the last film for the German director prior to Subversion.
