Jain seers to gather in Dharmasthala on August 29
Akhil Bharata Bhattaraka Jain Mutt Parishad said on Sunday that Bhattaraka seers of all Jain Mutts will gather in Dharmasthala on August 29 to express solidarity with Pattadhikari of Dharmasthala Manjunatha temple D. Veerendra Heggade.
A release from its president, Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya, seer of Digambar Jain Mutt, Kanakagiri and its secretary, Dhavalakeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya, seer of Digambar Jain Mutt, Arihantagiri, said that some conspirators are levelling allegations against the temple and the family of Mr. Heggade.
Dharmasthala is a sacred pilgrimage centre for both Jains and Hindus. Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala has been involved in various social works, including in the education and agriculture sectors. In addition, it has rejuvenated many places of worship.
The parishad said that it was appealing to all Jain community people, devotees of the temple, to gather in the temple town on that day.
